Enthusiastic, knowledgeable professor! I learned so much. I discovered a love for grammar in this course. Also, Professor's knowledge of English in addition to French added a fascinating linguistic aspect to the material. A lot of homework, but not all collected.

Very nice prof and very helpful. My friend and I didn't realize how advanced this class was (we were told to take 3000lvl) but she help us through it. My french improved more thanks to her. It was basically a French History class taught in French.

I LOVE Dr. Jones. Shes so nice. I agree with everyone else she really does know her stuff well. She doesn't make you feel stupid if you dont know something& shes more than happy to explain it to you. The class does cover A LOT of material and you do need to work for your grade. She isn't a hard grader though.

great woman, moves through material quickly and challenges you to understand. my only gripe with the classes i took were that adv classes had beginning speakers trying to keep up, which slowed down her and the class. helpful, engaging, and passionate about her language. merci, madame, pour tout que vous feriez.

Excellent professor-knowledgeable, encouraging with a witty sense of humour. The course content is comprehensive and available online on WebCT. The only problem with this class is that it is R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S-L-Y easy. Too many second chances. Students need to be challenged more to work for the grade.

I was a French & Finance major at SJU and I graduated in 01/03. Jones was a great professor because she was really knowledgeable and smart. The literature classes were really interesting. She has been teaching there for a while and has the material down.

She thinks shes hardcore, but shes nothing without those Capretz vidoe tapes and handouts. Very nice, relaxed. But I never understood how i was taking french 1, and never learned the days of the week. Maybe its the french system in her- she had a tendency
