Comment:

LOVED his class. Covered the issues of abortion, euthanasia, and affirmative action. Helps you develop your own opinion on tough subjects to understand. Class discussions occur daily and he's very involved and funny. I would take his class again just because it was so entertaining.

Comment:

Very conservative and close minded philosophy course. Prejudiced and bigoted, he uses the course to teach ultra conservative morality rather than philosophy. He actually got removed from my class halfway through. Take someone else if you want an education, take him if you want propaganda.

nice and very humorous. he'll definitely have you understand the stuff. he requires you to work often enough, we took 6 tests total including the final. he understands how the subject is tough and curves properly for students. some say he responds rudely, but i believe it's his way of pointing out the fallacies. TAKE HIM!

EVERYTHING is out of the book. He expects you to know the right answers all the time and when he tries to explain, he gives you yet another book example. Plus when you get an answer wrong, he comments you back rudely as if you should already know the answer. I would never ever take his class again, there are so many other better teachers at IVC.

Very sweet guy. I would definitely take him again. His class discussions are fun and make it easy to understand and very hard subject. Make sure to show up and read the material.He has a great website with the study guides on it and it helps tons.

Mr. Monge is a good teacher and he is passionate about philosophy. If you are looking for a class where you don't have to do any work, this is not it. If you do the work and study for the exams you will get an A or B. His class is tough, but very fair. Your effort determines your grade. I learned the most from this class than any other class at IVC

I really enjoyed this class. He's great at arguing both sides so that you aren't sure what his real beliefs are. Easy tests if you do the reading and the material's pretty interesting, for the most part.
