I had such a terrible experience. I am going to have to retake this class simply because I didn't learn Chemistry. He is very condescending to his students and does not take their questions seriously. I felt too scared to ask questions.

Very rude, very degrading. Will call you out in front of the class for not having your eyes glued on him. Locks the lab door after 10 minutes and you lose 5 of the 17 points possible for the day for showing up 2-5 minutes late. Don't come to class unprepared for any reason, he will call you out for that too. He doesn't grade fairly across the board

My advice: you have to go to basically every lab b/c this class is only 700 points. Use the tutoring center + chegg to get as many postlab points as you can. DO THE EXAM PRACTICE QUESTIONS!! That's literally the only way I studied and the questions are SO similar if not the same as exam questions and are soo helpful. don't need the textbook.

He's actually chill and tries to lighten the mood and understands that he comes off as intimidating but he said he's working on it and doesn't mean it that way. I swear I had the worst anxiety about this class every time I went though. He truly does want people to do well in his class and isn't that hard of a grader on labs.

If you like a teacher that criticizes the book, but wont go over it. Goes off on tangents, that have nothing to do with the course. Gets mad when you ask questions. DOES NOT TEACH. Ive been the head of my department is the most common thing he says, hes the perfect teacher for you. But if you want a good teacher, then do not take him!!!!!!!!!!

He comes across as super mean, but I'll admit, he's actually really chill. The way he speaks sounds like he's yelling, but he's not. However, his actual teaching sucks. He doesn't explain things at all, and literally refused to answer questions. When asked if we should mix two chemicals, he said "just mix a little, and if it catches fire, stop."

I was so scared to take this class after seeing all of the negative posts... AND I was right to be scared because he is INDEED the worst professor I have ever had. It was an awful online class. Listen to the comments, don't take him!

Toxic lab atmosphere, like being in prison. He calls people out if their eyes aren't glued to the whiteboard. He yelled a kid for taking notes because he 'wasn't paying attention,' and when he caught me looking to the side, told the entire class I had attitude. Refuses to answer questions, even in person, and sometimes leaves the lab- not allowed.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER. DO NOT TAKE HIM, I swear no matter how hard you study, he will make it impossible to get a good grade. I got an A+ in AP Chem in high school... I got a C in his class. He is just AWFUL.

It was an online class so we only talked once. I was violently ill and asked for an extension ahead of time on a test per the syllabus's instructions. He acted like he was giving me the gift of life with his 1 day extension. Came off as pretty pretentious. That aside, his lecture notes were INCREDIBLE and I'm saving them for future ref.

I taught myself. I had a B and I really wanted to learn and get an A. He told me this was not how the online course was set up. He was not willing to meet. Expect no mercy. No extra credit. No curved grades. No extensions. The syllabus was 25 pages long including email etiquette: enough said. He's doesn't deserve to be a teacher.

He will waste your time. He likes to teach a new chapter a day before a test, so there is no review time. I often found myself leaving his lecture to study for the tests because he cannot teach. However, if you leave a lecture, he will remember you and grade you wrong like he did with me. He is just awful. I taught myself every chapter.
