Professor Bayou is amazingly helpful. Completely willing to help in office hours, always willing to entertain questions, and will go out of his way to make sure you are comfortable with the material. He jokes around and can get off topic, but the class is good. If you ask for help, he will give it. I had him for 2 classes (ACC 299, 355).

This was a terrible class. Every week he made us prepare a case and presentation, and then he would randomly select one student to present it. The hw was very time consuming and he would talk about random things during lecture. The exams were all essay.

Hard to understand; thick accent and mis-uses words that lead you to have to figure out what he means. Tests are HARD and grading scale is not fair. Only had 3 tests, you mess one up and you're going to fail. Professor has no empathy for your personal life. Switch from this professor if you are able to.

Teaching method is unhelpful. For the most part, he reads directly off the slides, doesn't work out the exercises that are from the book (he only reads those too). You have to constantly ask questions for clarification to understand anything in that class. Quizzes are a huge component of your grade -- 24%. A single quiz knocked me down a grade.

Very nice very open loves conversations humbe u'll feel he's ur friend rather than Prof. However he does not know how to teach. Even with a PhD, u might not know how to deliver the message.. I recommend him only if u know how to teach urself. Dont't rely on him at all! Material easier than other ACC. Attendance mandatory. Tells u problems on test+

Am I even taking the same professor?? I had him for 299 and 355 and this professor is very good and extremely easy. The accent was slightly difficult to get used to, but you get it eventually. He is very up front about the exam and tells you exactly what problems to focus on. If you cannot get an A, you should probably not be an Accounting major.

I dropped this class a couple years ago, & it didn't seem as difficult this time around. He did still keep us late several times, & his breaks were WAY too long. He gives alot of info about problems on tests. He didn't ramble on about philosophy as much as the last time. If you do homework & concentrate on the way he does things you should be ok.

The lectures are boring, and at times not at all related to subject matter. He knows the material very well, but has a hard time explaining it. Exams are pretty easy since he tells you what problems to do out of the book to prepare.

Going to class is pointless. The only reason I went to class was for hints he gave about the exam, and he takes attendance. He's a nice guy, just not good at getting his point across; uses some of the weirdest examples. If you want to do good, make sure you do the h/w, even though he doesn't collect it. Don't leave it for the day before the exam.

Not good teacher. He wont talk about graded papers. Student should be given the benefit of the doubt. It is the students who pay the money and take the time to come to class; the learning system should not be a brick wall. In reality life is not a multiple choice question with for options. He will not reply to the emails because he will be busy with the family. That is a joke. His family does not pay him to teach, its the SOM that pays him to teach.
