Comment:

Weekly chapter quizzes. Mid-term and final exam. Research paper. Recorded online presentation. Weekly discussions. In short, a lot of work for a 3-credit hour class. Instructions were sometimes confusing, but Dr. Holmes replied to questions quickly and thoughtfully. Took over two weeks to grade some exams and assignments, but graded fairly.

Comment:

Dr. Holmes is a very nice person and communicative. She is willing to share her personal life for learning purposes. The book she assigns is good. The work load is heavy. It was like a second job. The paper was like a capstone project.

Dr. Holmes did not teach much in class. All she talks about how to success in life or her other topic how to save money. She is strict on writing and grammar. She takes her class as business communication and forget to teach us about business analysis. Pretty much she is a sweet person but does not know how to teach

Comment:

The reviews on Dr. Holmes are very accurate. She is not a good "teacher" at all. She does not teach you much, her assignments are very vague, she is a stickler for the details but her details are unclear. She is frankly a very frustrating professor. She has no idea that she is just a poor teacher, plain and simple. Would not recommend.

Comment:

The worst teacher I have ever had. She didn't teach. She would talk about China and stocks the entire time. Do not take this class if she is teaching it. She assigned a semester long project that was easy but the directions made it very confusing. Does not explain things. Is a nice person but not a good teacher.

Worst teacher ever! She favors the transfer students from JNTU India and discriminates others. Never learned anything from her class. If you want to take MBA 609, take it under Berry or Anil Kumar!

This was the worst professor I have ever had. I thought that teaching was required to become a professor, but she doesnt teach anything. She assigns projects with little guidance and then does not allow the time for input. She was never available in her office and talked down to students when they had questions. How she became chair is a mystery.

The class was a joke. We did a group project and an individual project. I learned absolutely nothing in doing either project. I spent very little time on the projects but i didnt learn anything. She's a nice lady but the class is a waste of time. If you'd like to learn something useful, get a different professor.

The majority of this class is projects and groupwork, and overall there is a lot of out-of-class work to be done, but the work isn't too bad. She rarely lectures, and she is very kind. She's always trying to help you do good in class, but her grading system sort of confusing. If you do the work and study enough for exams, you will do well.

You have to be good at teaching yourself. She just hands out assignments and you test off of them, she teaches you nothing, you have to figure it out on your own. Very unorganized and frustrating.
