Amazing professor, I really enjoyed Bio1127 (blended). The in-class labs really helped me understand the material more. He is always open to answering questions and helping students succeed. His lectures at the beginning of class before labs were interesting. I highly recommend this professor and would definitely take another one of his classes.

Comment:

He is a pretty good teacher. I had him for an online class, and he would frequently send out reminders for upcoming assignments or announcements. He gives you all the material to complete the homework, the labs are interesting, and he grades pretty fairly. I found it kind of funny that literally anything I got from him had a typographic error.

Comment:

Used the textbook exactly 1 time. Mostly completion points for class work and labs. Posts powerpoints and all material you need to pass. It's no big deal to miss a lecture here and there. Got a B giving about 40% effort. He's a nice guy, worth taking.

I'm taking his environmental science class right now, and it's going great. His grading criteria is clear, and a tip is that everything he says in his lectures will be on the tests. He makes sure everything on the test is covered! Very kind to his students and gives very good feedback to his students. He will make sure you get the help you need

Love this professor! Tbh, biology is my worst subject so I was worried for this class, but I was wrong because Professor Javadi really wants to help his students to pass. All of his tests and quizzes are based off his lectures. He makes sure everything on the test is already covered, that's why this prof is a gem. Very kind to his students also

I actually took the hybrid class. It was VERY easy. Would recommend to anyone that can keep up with a few very easy (10 minutes at most) assignments for the whole semester. He's great about giving extra time as well, even though he probably shouldn't since it's so easy. Overall, very easy. Has a very thick accent, but I could understand him.

My course was blended. Responded to e-mails same day and posted several times a week to Blackboard. He is passionate about EnviroSci and willing to talk after class. We read selections of 1-2 chapterswk, met every other wk for group lab and had an end of semester group presentation. No exam surprises: reading assigned chapters & notes enough prep.

Javadi is a great instructor. PhD in his profession, very knowledgeable. Made me interested in biology. He wants you to get an A. Assignments are not hard. He makes sure communication between him & students is excellent, email great and timely, in-person always happy to help. Nice guy. Chill, interactive, informative semester. Would take again!

This professor was really good. He would help me if I was confused about anything. He wasn't a tough grader. Assignments were usually not that difficult. He would update announcements regularly and email me back in a timely manner. This professor was nice to have for Biology.

Professor Javadi was a fantastic teacher. I honestly enjoyed the class and really liked him. He has thick accent, but if you pay attention, there will be no problems. He will work with you and do whatever he can to help you. He made the class actually interesting. I strongly recommend him.

Comment:

Dr. Javadi loves what he teaches. He writes everything on the board that will be on the test, so if you take good notes you can usually do well on the tests. If you also keep up with the reading assignments you will do well. Very good, I would recommend him.

Took Hybrid which was surprisingly easy. Labs were interesting and once you get past his accent he is easy to follow. He uses real life current topic when discussing. Has a lot of interesting finds he finds on youtube that makes you go wow and peaks your interest. Who knew Biology could be fun!

Laidback guy. Very helpful as far as letting you know exactly what to study out of the huge amount of material, especially if you go to his office hours with the study guide and ask for help. I took the hybrid course and even though we only had 5 meetings, he still made the last one a field trip :)

Amazingly good professor! He is very clear in what he expects of students, doesn't really use the book at all (except for graphs etc) and is very friendly and helpful. We went on a fieldtrip to the zoo for a lab, and planned a 2nd outing but got rained out. He has lots of great stories from Iran, personal experiences and brings snacks!!

Dr. Javadi is really nice and patient... tests were okay, but I just didn't like the way he lectured or explained things. I much prefer powerpoint along with examples. overall, not bad and does not go out of his way to make a 111 class harder than it should be.
