Prof. Beers is a very kind-hearted person, and has a grandmother-esque persona to her which makes her very approachable. He is a tough teacher and old-school lecturer, and she definitely knows her stuff, and expects you to as well. She grades relatively easy, but the work can be demanding. Make sure you study in her class, but you will learn a lot

Nancy Beers is one of the most amazing teachers I have ever had. She really knows her mythology and she makes it easy to understand. She makes class fun she is easy going but firm as well. taking this class with her will be the best experience you'll ever have. The tests & homework is good with easy deadlines. Listening skills needed during class.

She makes people who hate history into lovers of it! She makes it very interesting and the 3 hour lectures weren't so bad! she has a passion for it. Tests are easy as long as you take good notes on everybody/event and memorize thoughoughly! Shes an amazing professor and loves what she does! TAKE HER! Dont buy the textbook, you don't use it ever.

She knows what she talking about, I learned more than just what the book had. She is one of the only good history teachers out there. Shes lively and takes the text and helps you understand the reality. She is not a easy grade but if you take notes from the text and listen to her lectures she makes it clear what is important.

Nancy is the kind of teacher that understands students have lives. She's forgiving and attentive. She tells a great story, and loves to gossip about historical figures, especially Julius Ceasar, Cleopatra, and Mark Antony.

She definitely keeps the subject interesting that's for sure. This class is pretty easy and straight forward as long as you attend class. This was her first time teaching Mythology and she was wonderful. Tests are just like the study guides she hands out. I would recommend her :)

I love her!! She is incredibly passionate about what she teaches and it really helps to learn the material. Go to class and take good notes. On the test write, alot!! As long as she knows you know the material you will do great. I will be taking more classes with her for sure!

Expects you to know quite a bit. She'll ask questions that are off topic and assume you know what she's talking about. I'm not a big history freak, I just need a credit of it for my associate's degree. Quite frankly, it's my worst subject. She knows her stuff, but that doesn't help the fact that I don't. But she definitely makes you want to like it

An excellent prof for sure. Deeply interested in the subject she teaches with the knowledge to fully explain the complex subject of Russian history. Tests are extremely point heavy but have ample opportunities for extra credit in the short answer and essay portion. AP History and IB History students will be well prepared for this material.

You better be ready to take good notes and study hard in order to do well in this class. Nancy really knows her facts and has a deep love for history. If you don't put in the effort, you won't see the grade. The extra credit project can really help you out. Overall a good course and sparked my interest in history.

Very good class to take. A lot of times I would have a hard time following her but would be afraid to ask questions because she seemed to get irritated at other students for asking so many and making her lose her spot. But other than that, I loved her! She knows her stuff and obviously loves history. I would highly recommend taking her as a prof!

If you take good notes, you will do well. The tests include essay questions where you can earn extra credit if you write a lot. The lectures were so extensive that I never opened the book. Makes history fun and interesting!
