Comment:

My friend and I took this class, we both agree Mr Lazaro has unrealistic high expectations. This is a CC, not Havard. He expects you to memorize every sentence out of 3 huge textbooks and know every statistic in all the books. I liked history until this professor ruined it. Only way I passed was by reading every page and taking notes on EVERY page.

I agree that tons of reading is a must. Quizzes are not easy even though they are open book and notes, and topic outlines do not seem helpful in my opinion. 6 discussions involved. He does not give out a study guide for final exam. So, if you hate reading too much or you are too lazy to read, do not take this class unless you are majoring history.

I took the class for history of minorities: african american and native americans. It was a really interesting online class. It is a lot of reading but he is really helpful if you need any and sends out a lot of reminders for due dates which is extremely helpful. I would definitely take a class with him again.

There is a lot of reading for this class. Make sure to attend lectures because they contain information that you won't get from the books. There are quizzes for the readings as well as tests for the lectures. There is a lot of information to remember if you want to pass with an A. He has extra credit jeopardy that really helps.

Mr. Lazaro is great professor! Very kind, knowledgable and patient. His class is very straight forward. There is a lot of reading invloved, but if you use his quiz study guides you'll do great. I've taken 2 of his classes and aced both. He offers several opportunities to earn extra credit which is great.

Lazaro is a very interesting and intellectual instructor. In regards, to history he is very smart in fact he even told stories of his involvement in major events Tests are easier than the quizzes Quizzes are hard and difficult to prepare for Class requires a lot of reading. We play jeopardy for extra credit! so fun! Makes history fun and easy to do

This teacher is great!!!! He is very thorough, nice, and always goes out of his way to spend time with you. He is always willing to help and is easily approachable. Great teacher. You learn a lot in his class because he makes it worth while.

This Proffesor is really boring!.. He grades you on participation. Attendance.. lectures are really boring, he tends to repeat himself. Lecture material not found in quizzes.. make sure to go day before exam, he gives you points for playing jeopardy..

TO MUCH READING!!! We read the whole book during the summer. I did take this class online, and Mr. Lazaro answered right away. There are plenty of time to take your tests and quizzes but they cover a ton. I just managed to get an A in this class.

very boaring!!not really hard just do the study guide and you'll get a good grade. alot of studying needed and exams require two essays so you better know what you're talking about. ned is really nice and helpful but sadly he is the most boaring man in the world. he loves what he does though and he does it well i guess.

The so called "extra credit" is pointless. I had a high B, did all the homework, never missed a day of class and still ended up with a B after i did all the extra credit and jeopardy games.What a waste of time!

He gives you an outline of what you need to know for the tests and exams. There are essay questions for the exam, if you are good at this type of testing then it easy to earn an A. He also gives a couple chances to get extra credit. What I really liked is there was no papers to write.
