She is not a bad teacher, but not all that great either. The class is okay, but the longer you go the more boring it becomes. If you can take it with someone else, but if you get stuck with her you will have an easy class.

She was absolutely awful. I am a soc major and I have never gotten a C in any soc class. She was not clear in her lectures, and was unbearibly mundane. She went off on personal rants that no one cared about. Will never take another class with her again.

I took this class like most people to get my UNM core out of the way. I was hoping it would be interesting, but all she cares about is dumping on Republicans. I only went to class to get the participation points. Otherwise going to class was a waste of my time. Everything that was on the tests came straight from the book.

Often condescending when students asked her to clarify instructions. Good amount of reading, which was useful. In a class of 12 people she rarely yielded the floor. Not accessible outside of class. Negative about academia structure. Took required class to fit in schedule, would have taken with another professor available.

You learn information based on Niame's opinions. Super liberal and you are not allowed to think any other way. The class wasn't difficult, but she gave you extra assigned readings besides the textbook readings that were a waste of time and very opinionated. Not a fun class. Take another Soc 101 professor, it will be easier and more enjoyable.

She is not a great teacher. She only cares about her opinion. She very liberal and hates all Republicans. Do not be surprise that she will take an entire class period to "lecture" on how being Republican is wrong, and that putting it in a nice way.

Learned to do annotated bilbio's that was hard, but fun. She makes you use your mind but as long as you try your best, pay attention, read and attend class you will be fine- This is a University not gradeschool- DON'T BE LAZY PEOPLE

I would recommend this class to anyone. It's a lot of reading, but, coupled with her lectures and assignments, you really learn a lot. She does an excellent job of teaching you to think critically.

Her Soc 101 class was very easy to pass! The test reviews are very helpful! The lectures are very boring and her notes are hard to follow, but as long as you go to the review you will be fine

not very helpful!! tests were a pain i have never had test anxiety till this class!! pointless to email her about questions cuz she doesnt seem to care to answer any!! total preference of students and u can most def. tell when she is doing it!!! Worst professor ive ever had makes me want to change my major!!!

She scared me at first, but she just wanted everyone to be on their toes and we were!!There is a lot of material to read, but she covers it well and gives you her notes to follow along with. If you are in Soc. 371 you should want someone who teachs in a deep and meaningful way and she does. You MUST attend class, if you do and use your brain do OK

She is so helpful. I had lots of problems in that class and she was very understanding. As long as you don't slack off the class isn't too hard, but if you get behind, you're screwed.
