when a student stalked and mugged me, Christiansfeld yelled at me to give my a father's car to him "forever" and refused to let me call police after the man took my car. This was before the man beat my brain with a hammer... all true.

He's an OK guy. However, exams are NO JOKE. The class consists of one midterm, and one final. Nothing else. No extra credit. No lecture slides used. No podcasts. Just go to lecture, do ALL of the readings and you'll do fine. There's a curve at the end.

the FUNNIEST professor I've ever had. Attending lectures is a must, most q's on exams are taken from lecture. He really knows his stuff and is brilliant! His lectures really hold your attention and teach you alot. but his tests were unnecessarily hard. the good news is he curves tremendously, so a C could really be a B. Would 10/10 take him again.

(Review based on SXTH1: First Year Experience) Christenfeld makes this trivial class a true learning experience. He is learned, passionate, engaging, and funny. He promotes students to think deeply about social issues and college life. He cared about what students think and enjoyed discussing with students during and after lectures.

I love this professor! I will take a class with Dr. Christenfeld ANY day! He's hilarious and makes the class more of a discussion than a lecture. I've taken both a lecture and seminar style class from him and they were both classes I looked forward to all quarter. Do not be fooled- his tests are hard and the questions are long!

I took this over summer. A 3-hr class was kind of long but at least he was pretty funny so I didn't fall asleep. It was more like a discussion class and I never took notes because there's no right or wrong. Your grade is based on attendance, discussion, a 3-question final. Questions on final were relevant to discussion and were common sense stuff.

80% lecture and 20% text. exam questions are very entertaining to read since he has jokes on them but they are tricky and very example specific from his lectures/texts. amazing and funny professor but class is hard. I pulled off an A by making flashcards and buying the study guide and spending hours studying to get a D before curve.

He seems like a nice guy and everything, but if you don't go to lecture you are SCREWED. he does not have any powerpoint slides or lecture notes. he just talks the entire hour and 20 minutes and you have to copy down whatever he's saying. 1 midterm, 2 papers and a final. our final is about 100 questions. his exams are HARD. there is a curve.

So, he is easily one of the most interesting speakers I've ever experienced. He's funny, extremely intelligent and likable. The only flaw is that his questions on tests are hard to predict but he does curve and offer extra credit. Not as easy of a class as I thought it would be but he's amazing, definitely take a class from him!

Prof Christenfeld is brilliant, witty, very funny, and did I mention brilliant? I enjoyed attending lecture and even my friends peeked at the book once and while because it was so interesting. This class is the epitome of what you should know about human behavior as a psyc major/minor. Read the book and attend lecture if you want to be enlightened!

Amazing professor, one of classes where I am looking forward to attend. The lectures are really interesting. In order to do well you NEED to go to every single class. Tests are really hard and tedious. I got a C but after the curve an A-. Overall good professor and good course

Fantastic professor!!! Crystal clear and very funny. I really enjoy going to class! Tests are kinda trick and ambiguous. You also have to do two papers which are time consuming. And you have to read the book cause test questions are from the book and lecture both. One downside: No slides. He writes on the board and you have to write it all down.

AMAZING. I love him, wish I could take more classes with him. Took it over summer so participating in class discussion+final=grade. It was awesome because every college course should be this way. We discussed what we read entire class. made a lot of new friends. Not to mention Christenfeld is so much fun to talk to! Wasn't as hardas everyone thought

I loved Professor Christenfeld's course! I know some people can't stand his style of lecturing (only a few bullet pts. on board, then just speaks), but it worked really well for me. His exams are very wordy, but he's willing to clarify. He's memorized his lectures word for word and recycles jokes, but he's still so brilliant!

The tests were hard because the questions were so open ended, but there's a HUGE curve- I got a C- on the midterm but it translated to a B+ with the curve. I liked this class because it was different from the typical lecture where students sit there and listen and take notes. The discussion is interesting and he always has a witty remark!

here's the synopsis, lectures are extremely interesting, however the tests are extremely difficult. The questions and correct answers are so ambiguously worded that it is nearly impossible to answer correctly, hence, such a strong curve in a PSYCH class

He is definitely an entertaining professor I'll give him that. His tests though are something else. Going into the tests I thought I pretty much knew everything and BAM, way harder than expected. Some of the questions were just random scenarios he would joke around about in class. Attend lecture if you want to do well.

Fun professor to take. VERY DIFFICULT midterms and finals. I got a B- and I had taken Social Psych at my community college and gotten a solid A, just a few months prior. Midterms and final are designed so that you need to have fully mastered the material if you want an A in the class.

not an easy A class, but great lecturer, interesting material. test 1/2 out of book so don't skip that, go to ta's for help with paper. highly recommended because of class content.
