Comment:

Professor Lasso is a great Spanish professor. There is homework every night online but as long as you complete it you get full credit for it. You do not get penalized for not getting the questions correct. Three exams throughout the semester, they are worth a ton of points, be sure to study. Compositions are an easy A.

I personally loved Dr. Lasso von-Lang, she is very sweet and cares about her students succeeding. She tells funny stories during class. Class wasn't an easy A but compared to college level Spanish I did not think it was hard.

Comment:

I took her Spanish for Heritage Speakers class. Hesitant at first, because I only understand it and wasn't very good at speaking it. I tried to switch and she made me stay in the class. Overall, I'm glad I stayed. She is very understanding and will help if you ask. She HATES when people are late, but if you participate in class you'll be fine!

she's nice however she doesn't teach she "tells". What I mean is that she pretty much speeds through in-class work, she'll assign group work, gives you like 5 minutes to do the 2 or 3 sections (all together not per-section) then flies through them without even giving you a chance to write. We learn through online and on our own.

She is a very easy teacher. I am fairly good at spanish, but i HATE it. She made the class fun. she is a very sweet lady too. always cracking jokes (most aren't funny, her accent makes them funny) I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this course to students taking spanish.i have taken many spanish classes , she is no doubt the best teacher here

As said, speaks too fast and tends to introduce her liberal politics into a lot of conversations. I don't mind her opinion, but there is a more proper place to voice it than a 100- level spanish class

It is really hard to understand her because she talks extremely fast. Her tests are "non-traditional" so be prepared to do some strange things for tests. Beware her online activities. She only gives you one chance per activity so if you don't have the exact answer it's wrong and homework is fifteen percent of your grade.

She can be difficult to understand sometimes because she starts to speak way to quickly but if you ask her to slow down she definitely will. She is understanding and willing to work with you if you do not get the material. She is funny and though she can be a tough grader... I would take this course again anyway.

She talks to the board when she uses it. If we did not have a book she would not no what to do. We watch this movie soap opera that is generally irrelevent to anything else that we are doing. I would not recommend her class even though it is not very hard you do not learn much

I liked class, but I had five years of Spanish before I had her.. had I not had those five years, I don't think I would have done that well.. Got a B over all.. so not too bad! Not a lot of compositions more grammer then anything!

Her Spanish is hard to understand because she mumbles. She also made us do a million computer exercises and lots of book work for a Grammar class. That sucked.
