Here's your warning: Don't be absent. He requires the textbook, but then only accepts HIS definition on tests. Can't even bring a water bottle into lecture, forget about lab. No phones or you're kicked out (for water too) and marked absent. The only thing I learned from him is the meaning of imperative and all my classmates names. Ruined my 4.0.

Comment:

Prof Harris is one of the toughest professor's I've ever had, but he is one of the most informative ones also. You can tell that this guy has a lot of love for what he does, even though he talks in riddles, there is a method to his madness. He's very old school and is very intelligent, he teaches complex topics so be prepared to learn and to read.

He is a horrible instructor. He doesn't repeat anything instead he asks the class until someone gets it right. He treats everyone like a little child. Everything has to be precise , even the type of pencil you use. He doesn't like you to use a pen.

I've only been in this class for about two and a half weeks now. Apparently the Prof. we were supposed to have got switched with this nasty, nasty man. He isn't patient at all, and that'd be fine if it was just that he wanted kids to understand things, but he actively makes things more confusing and picks on kids who don't follow. Will report back.

Ok well as for the people saying to not ever take this class, I totally understand because in the beginning of the semester I completely wanted to drop this course. However, I decided to give it a shot and ignore all the bad comments. In the beginning I noticed Harris had a very strong personality and by the end EVERYONE in the class LOVED HARRIS

It's Science 101 but he tries to turn it into something more advanced. He asked "what is acceleration?" I answered "change in velocity" which is a perfectly good answer. Yet that wasn't good enough for him. He had to keep picking on me. It's like chill dude, this is Sci101 not graduate school.

He's great at teaching the subject. He knows his stuff and makes you think. His ways are very old school but it works. His policies can be extremely annoying but they also force you to become a good student without realizing it and make it really hard to fail. Definitely makes you work for your grade but is extremely helpful every step of the way.

Very veteran friendly. If you ever served then you automatically will be favored. But he doesn't discriminate. If you show an effort then he will help you. if you just think its going to be an easy A then you are wrong. Some effort is needed with him. but he is always willing to give help and go over things again.

There is no reason for anyone to ever take this class. The teacher is no help, if you have a question he says to email u (which he never answers) or look it up yourself. He takes points of for everything such as having the wrong date on an assignment. He sends you home if you don't have a calculator which is barely used. Textbooks used at home only

Just finished the course last week. I got an A. The material is very easy to learn and prof harris is always willing to help you understand things you don't understand. I often asked him questions in lab and came to his office hours several times. Very helpful

This is an easy course if you pay attention and do what the professor asks. There are extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. The professor is very helpful if you go to his office hours. I went to his office hours when I didnt understand the HW and ended up with a B+.

I hate this man so much. He is such a harsh grader and is very hard to understand. He tries to trick his students and you must follow every little detail on tests labs homeworks and lab practicals. He is very rude and does not help you whatsoever. He speaks very quickly during lecture and doesnt slow down when asked. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.

This man is extremely difficult to talk to let alone understand. I'm in his class this semester and may not graduate because he is so harsh on grading. He will not let you make anything up and if you don't follow every intricate detail in the directions on labs/HW it receives a 0 grade. Don't know if I'm going to drop yet. Avoid him at all costs.

Professor Harris was an excellent professor. This class may be a little hard but he definitely is looking to help the students to get a good grade.. If you want to pass this class the only thing u have to do is be always on time and attend all the classes and also do all the homework because at the end they help with the grade.

fast paced lectures, expects a lot out of you, sometimes confusing terminology. over all, if you stick with it, you should be fine. all your quizzes and homeworks count as extra credit towards your test grades so it all works out in your favor.
