Comment:

Ollie Lee is one of the most respected men of his field. However he DOES not stay on topic, each class covers roughly 5 of 40 pages. Must read and remember small aspects of 100 page tests. You can sit through class and study the book yourself and make an A, but that's the only way. Love this man, very very passionate. If you read you will ace it.

Ollie Lee is a great man, but cannot teach. Nothing he lectures over is on any of his quizzes or tests. I am certain if I only showed up on test/quiz days I would make the same grade as attending every class. My advice: tune him out and read the entire chapter - every word. 30% of every test is literally random statements from the chapters.

Speak up and ask questions. He's an amazing guy. I have a ton of respect for him. But he's not exactly up to date with the latest tech stuff. You're going to read a ton and have lots of papers. Just be sure to meet during his office hours or get a tutor if you have any questions at all. Most likely, you'll need both.

Dr. Lee is one of the worst professors I've ever had. I am confident that if I showed up solely for quizzes and tests, I would do just as well as if I showed up everyday. I eventually just tuned him out and took my own notes. He moves way to fast and does not cover the material clearly. Never ask him a question because he never answers it.

Dr. Lee is so intelligent, but he makes an easy class super difficult. His lectures are long and draining, but are not on exams and quizzes, so make sure that you memorize everything in the textbook.

My secret to passing this class was taking the textbook to class and reading instead of listening to lecture. He rambled on and on about the most random stuff which was never on the test.

I like Dr. Lee but the material is so complicated and the textbook is dry. He put WAY too much material on the tests; often I'll know the answers but bc the test is all essay I have to rush to even finish so the quality of my work suffers and I can't get a good grade. That's not fair. He assigned a research paper right before exams, very stressful.

Dr. Lee teaches straight out the text and makes a very interesting subject painfully boring. I dread going to his class and I don't ever learn anything that I wouldn't already from the book. He's a nice old guy but his teaching style is boring and convoluted.

AWWFUL!! He lectures on things that are not even on tests. The tests come straight from the text, so be sure to memorize the whole thing. If you have a question, don't bother to ask it because he will try to answer but his answer never answers the question. Bless his heart...but every class I just want to scream so frustrating!

I did NOT enjoy being Dr. Lee's student. He wasn't very helpful and most of the exam material was never covered in class. Sociology isn't something I struggle with, and Dr. Lee made it difficult.

Ollie Lee is probably my most favorite professor this semester! I love coming to class and listening to his lectures. The test come straight from the book so it's not hard but you can't go through the class without studying thinking that you will do fine. He has honestly made me fall in love with sociology and I am considering it as my major.

Mr. Lee is a great teacher. This is a wonderful class - I never thought I would love this subject but he makes it come alive. I LOVE going to his class. He is a sweet man and extremely fair. I cannot understand any of these negative comments.

This teacher is made me love sociology! I enjoyed his class and the topic so much it is now my minor. He is so helpful and gives LOTS!!! of extra credit. Plus he is really nice and the textbook is pretty much self-explanitory. If you read and do the study guide you will be fine.
