Comment:
Dr. Nikravesh had been teaching this class for years and subsequently has gotten pretty good at it. Fortunately, he makes himself available outside class for help and nowadays seems to want to help students like myself succeed. If you just show up and do the work, you're basically guaranteed a B. Getting an A takes a bit more effort, but doable.

Prof. Nikravesh is a great instructor. Lectures are clear and his notes are very helpful when working on the HW and preparing for exams. He is also very helpful in office hours. My advice: go to class, pay attention, and make sure you understand all the HW concepts and you'll do fine on exams. If you are confused on anything, go to office hours.

He makes the class slightly harder than it needs to be by giving curveballs on tests, but you can't even be mad at him for it bc the concept was easy after the fact. I know the material better than the grade I received, but tests say otherwise. If you work hard to do well on exams 1 thru 3, you can skip the final with whatever grade you have.

Hes an alright professor who has been doing this for many years. As people have said he kind of "goes through the motions" during his lectures and they are very dry. He creates all his own homework that can be pretty difficult at times. The exams were fair in difficulty but his grading was horrendous. He does allow to skip the final though.

One of the worst and racist professor I have ever taken throughout my 4 years. He's rude and hates students with questions. He also thinks this is the only class your taking. The department needs to get rid of him, I can't believe he's around this long.

His lectures are good. He is tough for grading but if you do the homeworks by yourself, it will be an easy B class.

Good Teacher, Good subject, Lectures are dry but the content is there. Picky during grading, but normally fair.

All around, he's about par for the course. His lectures are super boring because he breaks things down into fairly basic concepts. His exams are straight forward, but he's a tough grader sometimes. Some people hated this class, but I thought it was an easy A.

Lectures are very boring. Whatever you do, DO NOT sleep, eat, text or even let your cell phone ring, he will get very upset. Kind of inconsistent with grading but mostly fair if he feels that your at least trying. Attending office hours would be a very good idea. You have to work hard for an A but he wont let you fail if your trying your best.

Bring a pillow to class. It doesn't matter how much caffeine you consume. This guy can put you right to sleep. He is very fair with grading errors and takes the students side often when grading is in question on HW. The material is almost a dynamics class all over again. If you are good there, you will be good here.

AME 352 covers very similar topics as dynamics. Nikravesh isn't the most engaging prof, but he gets his point across and will clear things up if you ask.

Everything about his AME352 class can be tossed or, better yet, used as the fuel for the Time Machine when Doc Brown figures out how to make it run off trash instead of plutonium. AME352 is a backtrack from analytic based Dynamics learned in AME250. So maybe it is his actual subject doing the time taveling.

The lectures are boring, the class is boring, and after watching him lecture enough hours it hits you that he looks an awful lot like Doc Brown from the Back to the Future movies. And that was when I swear he was showing us a Flux Capacitor in class one day. Wish he would go back in time and decide not to have this class.

Everything you need to know for exams and hw is taught in class. if you do not understand, he is helpful in office hours. he taught the hw before its due, but only showed solutions after (person below is wrong, dont listen to them). if you dont know how to do the hw, thats what the office hours are for. Tests are a little tricky, but never unfair.

Great teacher! I learned a lot in his class. Everything you need to know for tests are taught in class. You may get horrible grades on the first tests but in the end he gives you a change to get a good/passing grade.

He seems like a nice guy, but he really isnt. I had 30% taken off an exam because I made a small mistake at the beginning of a problem, even though my processes were correct, and I received zero credit for a problem I answered correctly, but I did it in a way he hadn't seen before. It's still an easy class though.

I thought that he was a great teacher. If you go to class you learn everything that you need for the exams. I learned so much from his lectures that I didn't need to study for the exams. So, go to class and do the homework and you will get an easy A.

Most of my class didn't like him but I thought he was good. I wouldn't be afraid to take his class again. Did seem confused at times, but gave us make-up quizes to make up points missed on exams by most of the class. Fair grader, reasonable homework.

He was a project advsor for FSAE. He is very intelligent, but his lectures/speeches are monotone and boring. He lacked motivation in helping our group with our senior project.
