He is an absolutely boring lecturer. He requires you to attend class, but is rarely there to teach his own class and has a sub teaching 80% of the time. They both have different teaching styles, so it makes everything more confusing. Get ready to learn on your own, because what he says goes over your head. He's not very helpful, either. Don't take.

Comment:

Requires attendance but was only in class 20% of the semester. Had a sub for the majority of the class, which made tests and due dates confusing. Videos look like they're from the 60's and the lectures (when he was there) were boring. Tests are fairly easy because he uses the vocab straight from the book. Take another professor!

Very boring but tests are fairly easy. KNOW THE VOCAB. Half of the test is literally the vocab words he gives you. The same definition and all. Buying the book really isn't necessary if you never plan to read it on your own. You don't use it in class. All I used it for was for the glossary for the vocab. Bring a laptop for entertainment. Good luck.

Awful teacher. Very boring and speaks monotoned. He has powerpoints that do not help at all on the tests. Take any other econ teacher than him. He puts the whole class to sleep every class and grades you on paying attention, going to the bathroom during class. I would not recommend him at all.

He is terrible. Has a monotone voice and lectures things you don't need to know. Make flashcards from vocab-it's like half of your test. Stupid videos... Don't take litzy if you dont have too.

Prof. Litzinger is a really nice guy. He's so passionate about economics and truly wants us to care as much as he does. He encourages class participation and asking questions. I would read the text and define the vocab words he tells you. He is pretty up front about what will be on the tests and tells you what graphs and such to study. Not bad!

Very boring, but an overall easy class if you read and study on your own. He is very knowledgeable in his subject and is helpful if you ask for it. He often gets off subject or talks about certain topics for a long period of time and can be pretty boring.

WOW! Hes a good guy, but he had the most confusing syllibus ever! I never knew when anything was due, how many points something was worth...nothing! We had a quiz every week, so that helped keep grades up

Dr. Litzinger is a VERY nice man, but his class is like an albatross of boredom hung around your neck. We heard way too much from to "Prof Gill taoes" on way too many occasions. You really need to study the book a LOT so you can have a shot at learning the material. Take Reiland as yur 1st choice if you can. Eschenfelder also a better alternative.

awful teacher. Those stupid movies with Professor Gill were the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. Apparently we couldn't read because he had to read the powerpoint to us instead of teaching us what it meant. Do not take if you can help it.

hes terrible, all he does for the chapters is go over the graphs and tables in the book. Shoes those stupid movies with prof gill. if i didnt know better i would say hes marries to prof gill! Does grade on some messed up curve. tests are hard and the quizzes arent that easy

Nice enough guy, but jeesh.....he makes a boring subject even more boring. At least in Macro Econ with another prof, we did fun things like assess the marginal return on prostitution.
