Comment:

Loved this class! She has a dry sense of humor, which I liked, and she made class interesting. She's a little high strung about her paperwork and grading but I learned a lot in this class. Many quizzes and exercises, 2 papers and 1 final. You have to attend class, too. You'll also be getting into groups a lot, which no one likes, but it's easy.

Dr. Harris is a professor that makes you work and earn your grade, you MUST read and study all notes to do well and pass exams. This class is difficult and she is a tough professor. Watch out!

I had her for sex crimes...she maintains a good lecture and has a lot of useful side knowledge...nice to know where your money is going....provides a review for all exams and does have mandatory attendance...she'll keep you learning even to the last minute...you will have to earn your grade in this one, but it will be well worth it!

Comment:

Hard, expects a lot but is a very good teacher. Funny in her own quirky way. I had her for Sex Crimes and took her again for Supervising the Correctional Client. Great teacher if you are will to work for your grade. You will learn a lot from her, she keeps you busy until the last minute and takes roll. Hates when you walk out of class.

If you don't want to learn how to anaylze information or futher develop your writing ability, then don't take this class. However, the skills that are taught are invaluable. Dr. Harris does not "give" grades, you must EARN them. If you are lazy, then you will not enjoy this class, or the professor.

I remember the class being difficult. It was probably because I didn't focus! I did find her very helpful when I asked questions. My most memorable trip is when she took the class to a prison and we were walking and talking amongst the prisoners.

She knows everything and you know nothing. Thing is she really does know more than everyone and she lets you know it. If you put in the time you can get an A in the class but there is no down time in her class.. she always has an assignment for you.

This is an upper div.class. It requires reading and analysis. She gives good overhead notes, which tests are based on. It requires you to think and apply taught skills. She gives good reviews,tests are easy,&you definitely learn. If you have an opinion, back it up with valid reasons,do not bs.

she is WAY too opinionated and needs to realize that her opinion isn't the only thing that exists. extremely liberal and disregards any sort of conservative thinking. 2nd half of semester tad easier w/ tests, but analysis papers still bummers. would NOT take her again.
