Comment:

Great teacher as a person. Class was hard but he is a very knowledgeable teacher. The class itself was dry and boring. The test is over the lectures and their is no reviews. He is open to talk during officer hours and is very approachable. I would recommend if drugs is your focus area.

Dr. Gilbert is an amazing professor. He tests on what he lectures, but you have to show up to class to hear his lectures. He is willing to help you if you are willing to do the work. He has a lot of experience and good stories.

Did not buy the book and made a 88 in the class. But I went to class everyday and paid attention. The only thing that hurt my grade was the paper. He is a very tough grader on essays. Overall not as bad as people say he is. Just pay attention, go to class and you'll do fine

i took Gilbert's for my first semester spring 2015. he explain's well and knows his stuff. you need to study don't knock off. he said we where going to take 5 quiz we have only taken 3 10 question and keep the quiz after you take them most of the questions come from the quiz. if show up to class you get points add it to you overall grade.

Great professor. If you want a easy class class this may not be for you as the tests are essay based and it does require studying. You learn a LOT about the topic and his lectures will influence your perspective greatly.

Nice guy, bad teacher. literally didn't learn anything in this class. he taught one thing and tested over something else. no study guides, only 3 grades because he canceled one of the papers. He was never prepared and all in all, a waste of time, I wouldn't recommend him.

I would not recommend, he is a pretty one sided professor and if you make any disputes on his topics he gets irritated quickly. He grades papers way to hard and his test are long! His test are essay and multiple choice becareful how you write your essays on test because he tends to slam them! My advice avoid if you can!

Worst teacher I've ever had, doesn't teach english but takes off 10 points if you misspell something on a paper. Doesn't care about content just format, pointless tests, and he's boring. I barely made an A, not worth your time to take this professor, avoid him. Oh and he laughs at his own jokes....

He was a great teacher if you really(and I mean REALLY) want to learn about the topic. You actually have to do the work but you learn a great deal. Great teacher and I would most certainly take him again.

Took him my first semester after transfering from JR college. I was suprised and somewhat overwhelmed at what I thought was the increased level of difficulty of University level classes. At the time I was a bit upset, but now that I look back it was trully for the best. Not an easy class, but he pushed me, and I'm more focused now than ever.

Who does he think he is? This class is very difficult and time consuming. 3 tests, quizes, 2 6-8 page papers..save yourself and take another professor. The nature of the class if boring and uninteresting, he just makes it worse.

This professor is really not difficult but your grade will reflect how much work you put into the class. People who write poorly should really consider the TRC or the Wiriting Center for suggestion because he required two concept papers and a term paper in a 5 week course. Over all good prof with a lot og knowledge but a lot of work as well

He expects alot from his students. If you aren't ready to work, don't take his class. If you bust your butt you may get a B but you learn a great deal. Its worthwhile to take the class and learn. If you want an easy A, don't bother. U get what you put into his classes. would take him again if i knew my other classes wouldn't require much work

I spend more time at the library reading his books than I do at home!! You can read and study all you want if your writing skills aren't great and you cant write three good essays in less than 2 hours your screwed, for his test are like these. Great teacher makes you learn but the diff. level and the chances of you getting an A is slim!! good luck!
