prof O is a really good teacher you can tell she knows what she is talking about. if you never show up you WOULD NOT pass the class, she breaks every assignment up into chunks, so it is not overwhelming shes pretty good.

Comment:

Professor Osterman was one of the best English teachers I've ever had. She is so down-to-earth and caring; it's hard not to like her. Each class you'll be required to read a story and write a summary and analysis, but they don't take long, maybe an hour. As long as you have some knowledge of structuring an essay you'll pass this class with an A.

Loved Professor Osterman! She is very knowledgeable on literature and linguistics. Expect to write a summary and analysis for every story, and a few essays in the second half of the term. She is very clear on what is expected and helps break down the ideas and themes of the stories after we read them on our own to provide a better understanding.

An amazing teacher, I took her for intro to literature it is a lot of reading and writing along with any other literature class. Gives great feed back, fair grader and has an amazing personality. I recommend to take her!

Really good professor, gives solid feedback, fair grader, you definitely earn your grade. Homework or some sort of reading in between just about every class, but not anything too hard, just have to find the time to do it. The test's, exams, anything like that were fair and clear, reflecting everything covered previously in the course.

I'm a dual enrolled high school student and I needed one more credit of English to graduate high school so I took this college writing course. We had three essays throughout my 12 weeks. They were all interesting topics that made us THINK. We also reviewed some little things like grammar and writing style. Great class, definitely recommend.

Professor Osterman is really nice but can come off as rude, you just have to warm up to her. Never had class in the classroom for the past 2 months and just worked on a single research paper. The final is cake. Would definitly take her again.

Fantastic professor. Genuinely interested in helping students who are willing to help themselves. Show up for class on time, participate in class, and think critically and you will go far. If you are looking for the "Easy A" this class is not for you.

The whole class had around 2 to 3 huge papers to write and we constantly had to write the paper over and over , weeks upon weeks . Shes great at giving you a draft to write and lots of feedback before you turn in your actual paper but be prepared to be criticized even after you fixed your paper a thousand times .

Love this professor. I had a good and easy time because I'm generally good at writing. But his class does have a good amount of work. Writing every week. You will have to read stories and write one or two pages about the text. The lectures are amazing! You learn so much, and it helps you open your mind. I truly enjoyed this class! Recommed

Professor Osterman is amazing, she really knows what she is talking and knows exactly how to teach it in a way that you will understand. I highly enjoyed the class and actually looked forward to it everyday.
