She's one of those professors that proudly announces her fail rates at the start of the semester. The first exam average was probably somewhere near 50%. When most people are consistently FAILING her exams, it's a reflection of the professor. She knows the material is hard but doesn't even care to try and engage the class. Horrible.

Lectures are boring which isn't new. 3 midterms, 3 papers, homework every week, and a final. Homework is a waste of time to be honest. She curves at the end of the semester and told us average on midterms is a 65% - TRUE. As long as you do okay on all the pop quizzes (at least once a week), do homework, and show up, you'll pass WITHOUT the curve.

Cares more about covering lectures on schedule than bothering to slow down to make sure we understand. Expects you to take tests on ch's she barely covered bc she ran out of time. I've noticed class rarely asks questions bc her responses are very cynical. Doesn't acknowledge that consistent 60% exam scores is an issue on her end. Stubborn grader.

She does not provide any study guides. She gives good lectures. I recommend showing up to class because everything she teaches in class is on the test.

Go to every class and copy word for word her notes. There three midterms and a final, she drops lowest midterm. Her midterms are 1/3 definitions which she expects to be copied directly from her notes. She's not worth arguing with about anything related to your grade, she is extremely stubborn and her most annoying line is "It is what it is."

This class is hard because well, it's microeconomics. Rottschaefer teaches the subject well and at a good speed. If you're lost, make sure you ask her to review the topic again. She gives pop-quizzes almost daily. Exams are hard. Homework on online is similar to the exams but the exams also cover the textbook which you don't discuss in class.

She makes it clear on the first days she doesn't like technology. Doesn't enjoy phone calls or emails, so you had better see her in office hours. The entire class periods are spent writing on board. Stay clear of this class

No curve, but only need 85% or above for an A, so not too bad. Exams were similar to homework and lecture, so if you attend and do the hw they are very doable. 3 midterms, drops lowest grade. I had to do ebook, and don't recommend. It was difficult to read. online HW was pretty easy.

Make sure you go to class, a big chuck of tests are definitions straight from lecture. Homework every week, but you have unlimited tries and plenty of time to do it. She its very helpful with questions about lecture or homework. Tests are tough, study the heck out of the sample exams she gives you. Hard, but doable if you put in work.

I do not recommend Professor Rottschaefer AT ALL. Her tests are extremely hard and the class average is a 65%. Her lectures have almost nothing to do with the tests and there are pop quizzes in every class. The only thing that saved my grade in this class were homeworks and three essays.

Do not miss a single lecture. She tests by definitions, multiple choice, and one short answer that need to be answered using the info from her lectures - NOT from the book. Didn't use the book once. HW every week. She gives great examples and doesn't hesitate to slow down lectures if needed. She goes over and returns every exam. Highly recommend.

Condescending professor who laughs at students when questions are asked. Exam essay questions math based (though she covers none of it). Learn derivatives on your own/study off the book! Definitions on exam, she expects SPECIFIC words. Use the word lowers and not decrease? Well, you're screwed. ASSIGNS one extra chapter last minute before exams !!

I would NEVER recommend this professor to anyone. Although she is a sweet lady, her teaching methods are awful. This is the first C I have received in my 4 years of being in college. There are short answer quizzes everyday and the tests MATCH NOTHING that she lectures nor what is in the book. Average test grade was 40-50%, trust me don't take.

She is not bad ,but so picky . You need to study so hard for her exams because it is so tricky and all her exams are multiple choice .3 midterm exams drop the lowest ,12 quizzes, 3 essays (has to be perfect ), and final. Over all she is good but her exams are so very difficult and not related to her lectures somehow, so you need to read the book .

Quiz at the beginning of almost every class; not difficult if you pay attention; helps grade in the end. She does a great job at explaining difficult concepts. She wants everyone to participate but when someone did participate she wasn't nice if they got it wrong. online HW is helpful. struggled but worked hard; ONLY NEED 85% to get A) no +/-.

I love business class , but she made it so complicated and boring. She just lecture, no student interaction. For the test she gives you a guide that is different to the lectures or the book, at the test you the study guide is pointless, the questions has nothing to do with the information provided on it. very lazy to give feedback.

Her tests are mostly lecture-based although u can read the book but it probably won't make a lot of sense. Easy Weekly Homework. Quiz in class every day. 3 Easy 2-page papers, drops 1. 3 tests, drops 1. Class is out of 1000 points and an A is 850 and up. Her tests aren't hard as long as you pay attention to her lecture (writes out notes on board).

Her lectures are above average, and they're clear. It's more the subject matter that's hard. Read beforehand and if you understand what's going on in class, tests should be fairly easy concept-wise. She gives mini pop quizzes, and she's pretty lenient in terms of grading. Her explanations are clearer than the textbook. Write down her notes.

She writes all of her notes on the whiteboard. She gives free response pop quizzes based on the content from the previous class session in lieu of participation roll calls. There were three papers, all of which are designed to bring students' grades up. Tests are not easy. You will have to buy the textbook ($120+) to do online homework.
