I really enjoyed my time with Professor Siever. The bottom line is, you have to work for a grade with her, period. If you don't plan on showing up to class or reading any of the chapters or really listening to the lectures then don't take this class. I worked my butt off for that A!lol.. but I learned a lot!

Might have been a great teacher once upon a time, but now she is senile and defensive about it. Dont get me wrong she is in no way a bad person, and if you approach her outside of class she is a lot more accommodating but question something in class and youll likely hear a fifteen minute speech about all her accomplishments. Not all there. Avoid.

Tries to righteously yell at students, but is a bully. Many students told her off for it. No longer the advisor for BSU & BSU's campaigning to be more inclusive & positive which says a lot about how it was ran before. Had 200pgs to read for a test, never taught it & cherry picked random facts in all those pages. Can get an A on work but B in class.

I strongly recommend NOBODY take this class. I believe, along with many other students that Professor Siever is not suited for teaching anymore. She cannot remember anything, including the time she stepped out of class for a second and forgot we were taking a mid term that day. Her discussions are all over the place and taking notes is tough.

To be honest, she is a nice person and funny but only because is really unorganized and goes off topic. Her test are pointless and based on "lecture" and "readings" but her lectures aren't related to history at all. The book doesn't even have most of the material she claims we have to read. With all due respect, she has lost her touch.

Although she's is no way an easy teacher, I really enjoyed her class and the lectures. She really cares about you doing well. definitely take advantage of her office hours if you have an issue. If youre not going to be there, let her know. I totally recommend her!

SUPER TOUGH GRADER. I was the only student to get an A on her midterm, and I still got a B in the class. VERY opinionated, but she did teach me how to write an amazing book review. Taking this class for credits I wouldn't recommend, because you should not expect an A, but you will learn something! I learned a lot! Textbook use is confusing.

This woman is a joke She doesn't even know what day of the week it is but expects us to operate with robot efficiency 4th week of class and she has barely lectured We took a syllabus quiz and s. She is condescending, and senile. Retirement would benefit us all.

She is very nice, don't be rude because you will get called out. She is a great teacher hut gets side tracked fast and often. Don't ask questions because they won't get a clear answer. She doesn't care if you are late or on time. Attendance is your problem not hers. I passed but didn't learn much of anything. Conversations turn into debates.

pROFESSOR SIEVER IS A GREAT teacher, she repeats herself quite a lot, but that is actually good for your learning. She does talk about herself and her achievements, but that is not a bad thing, she is a very accomplished woman. She is very encouraging , if u need help ask her she is always willing to help. Reading and coming to class are a must.

Patricia Siever is a great teacher just not for me I'm the type to get frustrated really easily and when she gives lectures she wants you to take notes a specific way She also speaks pretty fast gets off track and is hard to understand sometimes & 90% of her tests require you to write page long answer for each question based on her lectures.

Brags more than lectures, goes on and on about her personal accomplishments but extremely scatterbrained about course material. She is condescending, forgetful, and has no faith in the class's intelligence. She also does not use the textbook. Avoid at all costs.

Professor Siever is tough but, nothing is given in life... It's earned. Don't understand how some people think they can cruise through a college education just because they cruised through high school.

Prof. Siever is an inspiration for African Americans but don't think her friendliness means an easy A. Lecture is very important, write down everything she says, it'll fall on the final. Her lectures are interesting, but we would have learned more if she didn't ramble so much about her personal life and achievements. She also repeats herself a lot.

Knows her subject but she can be forgetful and disorganized. It's a stressful class, but only because she is really unclear about what is expected of her students. Knowledgeable and fun when she wants to be
