He took over a class I took with another professor because he wasnt able to finish the semester. He doesnt respond to any questions or concerns you have and is very vague in emails. The department should have given us a more organized professor to end the semester with.

He's a great professor. He really is passionate about history. I would definitely take him again as I feel he really cares for his students and is there to help. As long as you do the work, you'll do well. Make sure you buy the textbook- he's very adamant about that.

Prof. Basinski makes you work hard for your grade. I took this class online, and every week we had a paper and a discussion forum to do. These assignments, along with his feedback help you prepare for the tests that you will be given. The assignments aren't hard, but you have to put effort into them. The class wasn't easy, but you should try it.

The lectures were really interesting with his high energy and passion for the subject matter. He allowed for a fair amount of discussion, and brought the U.S. presidential election into a comparative context. Tests are on the hard side, and there is a mandatory 30 min. presentation. He is tough, but you learn a lot in a relatively short time.

Really passionate about his subject and very animated lectures. Keeps you interested and while he doesn't hide his political views, he doesn't let that affect the class and will play devils advocate for views other than his own. He's as far left as I am right but one of my favorite professors I've had.

Lectures were really interesting and showed the professor's knowledge. A lot of different views were presented and emphasis was put on analysis rather than your opinion being right or wrong. The weekly essays were a bit annoying, and the grading was often unclear. One of the best classes to actually learn, even if it's not an easy course.

He is passionate about his field and delivers animated lectures. You must read the text, take good notes, participate in class, and write the weekly one page papers. Your effort will be reflected in your grade. If you want to check your messages or talk to your neighbor, don't take his class. He is a very good professor, one of my favorites.

He's very knowledgeable and has traveled the world, but he's also very arrogant. Considers his opinions to be fact. You need to rush to finish his tests. You are required to teach one of the classes (meaning: lecture for an hour). You'll learn a lot, but class is rarely enjoyable.

Basiniski is the best professor I have ever had. He actually makes you do college work. He is helpful and professional. Study for his class and you will have NO problem passing. If you just want an "easy A" he is not the teacher for you. He actually makes you THINK.

A good guy, just don't do anything to annoy him. Take his classes if you really want to learn, if you plan on slacking then don't bother. Can incorporate too much of his own opinions and can be a little mean but a great guy if you need help or just want to talk about politics.

incredibly hard grader. I had a 4.0 average until i took his class over the summer and got a B+. I attended 2 of his classes during the summer for a total of 6 hours a day 3 days a week and still didn't get an A. Overall he is very knowledgeable about the subject. If you just want to get good grades, you don't want him as your professor.

Extremely intelligent man who is very passionate about his job.his lectures and exams are tough, but he is always willing to help.He assigns a midterm, a final and a 10-12pg paper, so if you dont like writing, dont take him...and dont fall asleep, pull out a cell phone,go in late, or try and prove him wrong.you will get blasted.

Very passionate about his work. He is also a very smart guy. He has a good sense of humor. Hard grader and strict with attendance. If your taking his class to just pass, don't think about it. Work counts for a lot. Also if your late, just don't show up. Otherwise a great and knowledgeably teacher.

Very passionate about what he's teaching. Can be a lil hard on grading, and very strict with attendance but you'll learn so much in his classroom. He insipired me and I really learned a lot from him, hes a good guy and is definately etertaining enough to keep your attention. Comes very highly recomended.

Very Smart guy, passionate about what he does, and the funniest teacher I've probably known. Class was hard , but he made it interesting. Dont take his class though if you're looking to get by without doing work. He made us write tons of papers and he is a very tough grader in my opinion. idk what you ppl are talkin bout when it comes to his notes, if you were following along, youd have noticed that the blurbs he writes is exactly what hes saying at the time,ex. he'll write Woodrow Wilson and as hes sayin he was the 28th pres, he'll write it too.very passionate,he can rattle off names+dates like no ones business. funny, i recommend!
