1 traditional exam which is from reading the entire book. You can do it on your own time but be ready cause that test is 30% of your grade. 20% participation and mediation scenarios. 50% final official solo mediation which counts as your 2nd and final exam. You can skip class anytime but you won't become certified. Likes to be challenged/engaged.

Dr. King is one of the most caring professors I have had at TCU. He is genuinely interested in the well being of his students and is more than willing to help you out if you put in the effort. TAKE HIS CLASS!

I LOVED having Dr. King as an Honors speech professor. He is everything a professor should be. He challenged us without giving unnecessary work. He took our opinions into consideration when determining assignments and provided great feedback. Plus, there wasn't a textbook . He picked specific articles for us because he didn't waste our time.

I really enjoyed Dr. King's Honors Speech class. I was very intimidated by public speaking but he eased us all into it. Lecture can be a little boring, but ehhh it didn't bother me much. I feel more confident in public speaking now and he is a super cool guy. Brought us snacks sometimes which was an added bonus.

I liked Dr. King more at the end of the semester than the beginning. He's a really sweet guy and brought pizza to our final, but his lectures are boring. I don't think I learned much from his lectures or from the book. The tests were easy, but he graded a little harder on the speeches. I've heard that honors speech is easier than the regular class.

Dr. King is not organized at all. Most of the tests are from lecture, but he rambles the whole time. I can tell he is very knowledgeable but he does not lecture well. The material is very interesting but his class is very frustrating. If you can avoid taking this class, save yourself the trouble and don't take it!

Dr. King is super nice. His honors speech class is awesome because he eases you into public speaking. His tests can be a tough because some deal with application questions. He doesn't use plus/minus so that can be good or bad. But he's a super nice guy and wants to make the class fun!

King is a good teacher -but you must go to class. His tests are confusing as well. The study guides arent clearly labelled and he dissappeared before the first test which resulted in everyone blowing up the class email thread with questions and confusion. The topics for the test are never clearly outlined.

Such a wonderful man. Great professor, even better person. He really wants you to learn and grow as an individual. Because the class is almost completely auditory learning, it might be hard sometimes paying attention; nevertheless, I learned so much from him. His class is very applicable and enjoyable. Great examples, visuals, and activities.

He's a communications professor, yet absolutely horrible at communicating.. He never replied to my emails and could never accurately tell me my grade. He constantly made excuses for not being able to give me accurate answers to my questions.. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE.

Such a fun teacher! There is no textbook for class and he doesn't use powerpoints at all. He basically just stands up and talks. Shows a lot of videos, which are always on the tests. Tests are all multiple choice...not bad at all. Fun class if you are a COMM major.

Dr. King is a great man. I really enjoyed his listening class & would highly recommend it. He has been teaching this class forever & knows what he is doing; he even taught my dad in the 80s! great guy, great class. Take if if youre a comm major or just looking for an interesting elective.

Awesome professor! Lots of fun in his class. Take good notes on his lectures and read the book. I didn't do too well on the tests and still got an A. Think if you try hard and he knows it, he'll grade as such!

Dr. King is a GREAT professor. I took him during a minimester so attendance is mandatory. He let us out early almost every day and was so nice and helpful! You need to read the book and his tests can be a little tricky, but it is definitely easy to make an A or a B in here if you come to class! HE IS GREAT!

He?s a very boring and monotone professor. I found myself sitting in class staring at the wall a lot! You have to learn most everything out of the book, he doesn't lecture that much. He doesn't use PowerPoint for his notes at all. He has a great curve though! I made like 60's and 70's on all my tests, but the all got rounded up to at least a B!

Human Info Proc. is a good class... it is easy and fun. Dr King is a fun prof and includes lots of video clips. For the readings... if you read the bold print and make sure you know what they are then you should be good, and do the online readings! RECOMMEND the class

Dr. King is a very good professor. He uses a good balance of material from the book and from his own experience and research. The lectures and discussions are interesting and relevant. He's also a caring person when you need some help or have circumstances that interfere with schoolwork.

Class is interesting. Dr. King is a good professor. I liked the inclass group assignments on listening. Tests aren't that easy. The review is helpful but you have to read the book if you want an A. Class isn't mandatory but I'd highly recommend not skipping coz it will catch up with you on test day.

this class is ridiculous! you could go to class or not go to class and still have to read every word of every chapter and you STILL might not do well on the tests. good news, he curves, but you're gonna need it. everything you learn will be outside class. this class is SUPER boring! he's a nice guy, but i will never take another class with him.
