He is the sweetest and kindest professor ever. However, if you're not a good note taker this might not be for you. The tests come directly from the notes, no book needed at all. He really cares for his students!

Stone is a really cool, easy going professor. I liked his class, but he doesnt go by the book or use any powerpoints. He lectures off his own notes, which is challenging because you have to take good notes to get a good grade and study a lot. If youre good a bio then i would recommend him but if youre not maybe go with someone else.

Amazing course. No text book and no slides. Great professor. Tell interesting personal stories related to the course material. Keeps you interested. Challenging at times, but just pay attention and take good notes.

I took Dr. Stone this semester. Hes an amazing teacher, and his illustrations that he draws are super helpful. I just took anatomy and physiology together, and ended up focusing more on Anatomy than Physiology. He was super thorough, and great at relaying the necessary info

I did Human Physiology. Tests are straight out of his lectures. He only writes his notes on the board. Has pop quizzes (4 questions). Entertaining. Tests are multiple choice (55 questions). Handwriting is eh but he knows it & always asks if anyone can read it; many students will say no, and he'll tell you what it is LOL. Sometimes barefooted.

Paul is a great teacher. No textbook is used, all of the material that is on tests comes straight from the lecture. Pop quizzes are frequent over stuff covered in the previous class. Cumulative final.

What an amazing lecturer! Dr. Stone tells it like it is. I appreciate how he tells the information like a story and really gives an idea of how all the information connects. The best way to do well in this class is to take thourough detailed notes and actually study them before the quizzes and tests. You'll learn a lot in this class.

I recorded every lecture and took photos. He goes kind of fast, so I would suggest you to do the same just in case you don't follow something or a little slow that day. Take 30 minutes to an hour before class to study for pop quizzes. I usually made a 75-100. Plus it helps with going over the material a second time when the exams come around.

Dr. Stone is the Brodie- hands down the most laid-back teacher (and person) I've ever had. However, don't take that to mean he's easy- because bio 1 for majors is a ton of material by its nature. He is very knowledgable and he won't sugar-coat your performance, so just take thorough notes is class. Still to this day one of my favorite lecturers.

I loved Professor Stone! The tests were a little difficult, but all of the answers are in the notes. So honestly, if you sit down and really study, you can do well on the tests. He also has you do about 10 assignments, all of which are easy and on d2l. Didnt use textbook. He gave a few extra credit oppurtunites as well.

I took this course along with his human physiology class. Both courses were fun but difficult. Human physiolgy was much easier, but more time consuming because of the lab's and the quizzes. Very interesting stuff. Great professor

Every class is a lecture; don't miss them. Literally read over your notes everyday, and you'll do fine. Sometimes he's a little confusing in class, but if you take time on your own to review what you have, it'll make sense. Quizzes almost every class over the lecture from last class, and they're a little tough. The 4 main tests matter most.

Took Stone for Bio 1 for Majors. I slacked off a bit on he homework at the beginning of the semester, which bit me at the end. 4 exams and a final. He NEVER uses the textbook. It's good to have if you miss class, though he sometimes covers material outside of it. Expects you to take good notes, and honestly, your notes are the only way you can pass

LISTEN TO HIS WARNINGS!!!! You will do fine if you take good notes AND STUDY BEFORE EACH CLASS. I didn't listen and got a C on the first test, so I took his advice and I got A's on all the other exams. Also, any quiz past the 10th is bonus points!

Dr. Stone warned us over and over to study for the quizzes and to be really prepared for the test, but being a straight A student, I didn't listen. I got a C on the first test. Bottom line : LISTEN TO HIS WARNINGS!!!! You will do fine if you take good notes. I got A's on all the other exams. Any quiz past the 10th is bonus points!

Dr. Stone is an amazing professor. I'm glad that I took his class because I learned so much about physiology. The material on the tests comes from his lecture. I would take good notes! It's memorization for most of it and you're only expected to know what he writes down. So don't try to over think it. I loved this class and I recommend it to anyone

I was a biology major and passionate about biology until I came across Paul. You can tell he isn't really into biology, all he cares about are geckos. In the end, I dropped the class because it wasn't even worth dropping my GPA with this class. FIND SOMEONE WHO TRULY CARES ABOUT YOU PASSING THE CLASS, STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!!!!!!!
