Comment:
Amazing professor. He is not only well versed in all the areas he teaches, but is also incredibly fair in doing so, keep in mind this man is a brilliant philosopher with his own published opinions which differ vastly from those of the authors he teaches. He is a busy man so its difficult to get a hold of him but show interest and he will help.

Comment:
For a 100 level course, this professor makes it extremely complicated. Maybe a very good spoken professor, but extremely selfish ignorant at the same time. Passes out attendance sheet in small classes, and passes out the whole stack of quizzes, so you have to find your own paper. Would not take again "theory of knowledge."

Comment:
Klein is remarkably lucid and makes difficult readings clear in lecture. In preparation for quizzes, write a short summary that goes over the thesis and how the author defends the thesis. For papers, be careful about your terms (define any technical use), and focus on providing three good reasons and objections for your view.

Professor Klein is an amazing teacher. To prepare for all quizzes, do the reading and then write a short summary of what is going on. Discuss the reading with other students. Make sure to ask him questions if you're not sure about something. Make use of the cheat sheet for the midterm. If you do all of this well, you will avoid the final.

Klein is a terrific professor. If there's one guy at Rutgers who is famous for what he does, it's him. His class can get on the harder side because of all the surprise quizzes. But if you end up taking the class seriously, you'll be seriously rewarded. He's really smart and really nice, so if you can handle the work, I say go for it!

Great guy. He is an extremely smart and very nice man. The dude has done epistemology forever and has a great grasp of the field and is very happy to share his knowledge with students. Highly recommended, you will have to work though.

He's incredible! A very very nice person and wonderfully helpful!! The material is hard at times; especially if this is your fist philosophy class (it is mine). Some people find him to be a hard grader, but if you actually think and do more the just summarize what you've read i think you'll do fine. the key is to talk to him, and ask him questions.

Klein is an excellent teacher. You have to want to be in his class in order to make it work, and Klein makes sure to bring a bevy of examples to help you understand. This class isn't for everyone. He definitely brought the Epidemiologist out of me. Not to mention I look at philosophy in a wholly different light. Four thumbs up!!! No for stupid ppl.

Klein's a good guy with a good sense of humor. Epistemology is a hard subject and he does his best to sort through it all. Really can't slack off in this class. Weekly quizes as well as 3 major assignments. He's a fair grader though and very willing to help if you seek him out.

Students who are serious about studying philosophy and appreciate the complexities of higher-level philosophy courses will like Klein. Students who prefer mental masturbation sessions to actual philosophy (or are plain stupid) will not. I got an A in epistemology because I worked--and if you are not prepared to do that, you will not like Klein.

Course material was definitely difficult, and his explanations in class weren't too enlightening. What an ego this guy has! I remember him singling out someone who was leaving his HUGE scott hall lecture - this guy stops the whole class just to ask someone why they're leaving - who does this????
