Baldi is one of the most knowledgeable professors at Penn State. Attending his classes will give incredible insight into language and culture. CAMS 050 is a time-consuming endeavor and not recommended for a GenEd class at all. If you're interested in learning a great deal it's a must take

Phil is an awesome prof, probably one of my favorite professors I've had so far. He's a funny guy and will always be avaliable to help you if you need him. The class, however, is a LOT of work, so I wouldn't recommend it for a gen ed unless you don't mind a lot of outside work.

Certainly a funny guy, but a liking for the language is a must. The course flies at a pace rivaling no other 100 level course of which I am familiar. It is not his fault, because he had to get through a certain amount of material, but about 2/3 of the class dropped, and the rest wish they had (including myself.

Don't listen to the other reviews that give Professor Baldi poor review just because Latin is a difficult subject. He was extremely helpful to me every time I needed it, and he's a really laid-back and funny guy. Latin's hard as hell to learn with any professor. I only wish he was teaching Latin 002 and 003.

Class is hard if memorizing parts of words and their meanings and language is not something you're really serious about, but Professor Baldi is really good at clarifying material and he is so funny

this class is not that easy...you have to know alot of definitions of suffixes and prefixes, and then you have to know alot of the definitions that he says in class, he doesnt really do a review, just know all the chapter reviews that he makes you do in class, definitions, and also what the definitions of the suffixes and stuff are..then you'll pas

Prof. Baldi is the greatest professor I had at Penn State. His level of compassion for his students is beyond what you would expect. He takes the time to help his students understand.

Prof. Baldi is really interested in words and he makes class really interesting. While his assignments may be tedious, his grading is more than fair and his humor alone is enough of a reason to take the course.
