Honestly the rudest teacher I've ever had at Penn state. He is extremely rude, and makes his exams impossible. When we were curious and asked questions for clarification, he yelled at us and said he was getting pissed. Teachers are supposed to help, not be so rude. I regret taking his class.

This professor can humiliate you in front of the class. He does not only listen to your arguments, but interrupts you and YELLS at you. The first weeks of class, I was participating a lot, reading the homeworks, and answering the questions. After some point, the interest and motivation just drops. Very unprofessional behavior. The worst professor.

Go to every class and take diligent notes. If you don't pay attention, you won't understand the technical material. Overall he's a great professor and really dedicated to making sure his students understand telecom

The class is challenging but very rewarding when you study. I really enjoyed the class. Definitely not for people that don't enjoy the technical side of telecom. He tries really hard to make the classroom an enjoyable atmosphere. He also helped those a lot who didn't do well on exams. I went to every class, took notes & got an A... do the same

Tough class, but there isn't much work. Just do the readings before class and listen well. There are four extremely hard multiple choice tests and that is it for graded assignments. Be sure to go to EVERY class, take good notes. He will let you dispute questions and will curve unfair tests. He does care about your education. Make sure you do too.

Rob Frieden is definitely a great professor. Show up to class, pay attention, and you might actually learn something. He's does a good job at explaining complex law theories and concepts to non-law students. I recommend taking at least two courses with him in you're in a COMM major!

I feel horrible reading all these bad reviews on Prof. Frieden. He chooses interesting cases, is very knowledgeable, cares that we understand the material, & is very helpful & entertaining! His exams are difficult, I'll agree to that but still manageable. Ignore the other ratings-I'm in his Comm492 class currently & would definitely recommended it

He is a good professor. Fun lectures. His exams are a little tricky but it really doesn't take much effort. If you go to class you will know what he is looking for you to know. However I feel he could grade on other things besides just exams, like participation. Maybe then the lazy comm students would come to whats actually an interesting class.

He's a really smart guy--maybe too smart sometimes. But he's VERY enthusiastic about the material and that helps a lot. But his exams are hard. I recommend NEVER skipping class and doing ALL the readings. He's also really good about office hours. Don't be afraid to pick his brain about a lot of stuff-- he loves to answer questions!

Avoid this Professor if you want to learn something. Tests were way too confusing and grades harshly. His lectures are pointless and he is difficult to understand. This, by far, is the worst class of have every taken. He needs to do students a favor and STOP TEACHING!

taking notes is hard, exams have extremely confusing multiple choice questions on concepts that could be strait foward. going to class helps somewhat. over think the questions. class isnt especially structured. he isnt eager to discuss exams with students one on one. will hear opinons when going over exam but will disregard any opposition.

Prof Frieden is definitely a prof that knows his stuff. I learned a lot through this class, however I must say that his multiple-choice questions on his exams are tricky. Always dispute the answers. As for the jokes yes they are lame, but at least he makes an effort to entertain the class. I guess he's hot if middle-aged academics are your type.

Frieden is the man. I had him in a small class. he is engaging and you will learn so much. All you have to do is study. Suprise! a teacher that actually teaches. You will leave his class feeling like you learned so much. I went to his office and he was chill and relaxed, def wanted to help. I'm taking him again, hes that good
