Comment:

She was the reason I struggles so hard with stats. She was not open to explaining things in a way that I could understand & sometimes made me feel stupid. I was not allowed to ask peers for help while in her lab. She contributed to the reason I dropped down to a general degree instead of honours.

Worst T.A. I have ever encountered and she does most of the marking for the course, and is in charge of the labs. Students can't talk to each other, ask her for help not peers or she will yell at you- she loves that. VERY hard marker. She doesn't appear to even like younger generations. Wants respect but gives none. She chose the wrong profession.

P.J. is a tough marker, but she makes her expectations quite clear. She is very helpful if you approach her with a positive "I think this is what I need to do but I am unsure" attitude. She won't give away answers, so don't expect that, but she will happily aid you if you come to her after clearly trying to work things out yourself. P.J. is great.

She sounds like she's reading off a page, word for word, even when she isn't. Webstatistica is complicated and unreliable. She is good - better than O'Hagan - at explaining statistical tests. Maybe they should swap.

Best T.A. I have in university so far. She is extremely helpful and guiding. She wants the best for her students. Although webstatistica is a very difficult program that I think is very unnecessary for the psychology program, she is very good at helping students get through it! She is a very good T.A!

She sets you off on the right track in first year lab, although she is still a hard marker. Once you get to third year stats, however, she seems to believe you should know everything, and can be quite scary. Although her workshops can be helpful, she is not very approachable. Her snippiness made me cry, and she seems to pick favourites.

She made me feel awful about myself twice, and it is only November. I answered two questions, and she made me feel terrible for trying. No positive reinforcement whatsoever. Her knowledge of course material is lacking, and she is very abrupt and not easy to approach. she yelled at me for writing while she was talking...ridiculous

She's improved over the years. She's still a tough marker but she's more approachable and nice. If you ask her to reexplain she'll usually give more detail and/or examples-she appears to not be able to explain something in different formats. Only work on work she says in her Seminars- she'll be mad otherwise. Kudos for improvement though!!

I honestly believe my lab skills drastically improved because of PJ. She provides straightforward outlines of what is expected and if you seek help, her feedback and expertise recommendations are aimed at improving your work.

Hated her tutorial. she either likes you or she doesn't. Very mean. They say if you survive her it will help in later psychology... not sure if I believe it though. Some like her, don't know why. Tough marker.

I had her as a prof for my psych tutorial...AND I HATED HER!!! She treats her students as if they were in kindergarten! She picks favourites in the class and picks on others. Her lab info is not presented clearly and many of her students dislike her.
