Comment:
Writing proofs is not easy, but Dr. Huang understands we are beginners so doesn't expect perfect, concise proofs. He gives lots of examples in lecture but sometimes has a tendency to over complicate concepts. He does give a ton of homework that is due every week but at least it counts for 35% of your grade. Always willing to help outside of class.

He's a very nice guy but his class is very difficult. I had to go to math tutoring almost every week just to keep up. He assigns weekly homework that always takes me at least 3 hours, and he grades it very strictly. I would not take his class again.

Comment:
Confusing and not clear when presenting the methods of writing mathematical proofs to students who never had to write a proof before. Otherwise, it's not hard to do well in the class as long as you do your homework and understand the concepts that have been discussed in class.

Has a very very strong accent, making it extremely difficult to understand him most of the time. Take notes, study for exams, and you should pass. But the Wright State Math Common Final is what screwed a lot of people over. I had B or A, and after the Common Final I dropped to a C. 95% of the content on it was from Chapter 8 that was very hard.

Great teacher when it comes to needing extra help. Not real clear when it comes to speaking english. Overall kind of difficult class but I thought he was a great teacher.

Accent is hard to understand at first, but you get used to it in a week or so. Very helpful and a nice guy. Exams were easy-to-average (mostly similar to homework problems). I would highly recommend him. If you follow his instructions and work a little bit, you can get an A. Wish he was teaching CalcII and III during the next two quarters.

Dr. Huang has a pretty thick accent, but if you ask him questions he is good at clarifying (as long as he really understands what the question is) tests are a lot like homework, not too difficult. if you have taken calc in high school or know some calc material from other classes you should be fine

Not a wonderful teacher but he will do I guess. Accent is pretty thick, and make sure to ask him if you do not understand or you will fall behind. He is usually pretty easy to get ahold of.

I would not take this teacher if given the option. The material is tough on his own but add to it that I could barely understand him, it makes it very difficult to really learn anything. He knows his stuff but has a difficult time conveying it, especially when questions are asked.

Dr. Huang's lectures are boring, but he gives good notes. On the plus side, tests were pretty predictable and were very similar to the homework. He also goes really slow, so you shouldn't have any trouble keeping up. His accent is a little thick, but he tries really hard to be clear. Overall, the class was pretty easy.

Maybe it's the course material or maybe it's teacher that makes this class frustrating. Q.Huang's accent is as worse as C.Huang's. Difficult to understand. Homework is not that bad but still challenging. If you plan to be in his class, be sure to do every you need to do before entering the room. Hates people who go to the restroom. It distracts him

He just does the examples straight from the text. He is hard to understand and is hard to get a hold of after class. I got a B in 229 but during his class I got a D. Later in 231 and 233 I did a lot better.

Great calc teacher. He made sure you understood every topic as well as possible, often showing multiple paths to solve them. He did assume people knew more about physics than he should have, but that's a minor concern. Made a nasty class pretty easy, and his accent isn't bad at all. Take him!

A very good math teacher. One of the few the math department offers. It takes a couple days to get used to his accent, but its not bad. I've heard a lot worse accents and very few that are better. Tests aren't too tough as calculus is concerned. Great prof and would take him again if I had more math

This is an awesome professor. He's open to help you a lot. He doesn't grade very difficult. If you try hard you will get a good grade. I don't see why people say he is bad. He was a good prof...and still is. I would take him again!
