Comment:

The lecture is boring but he is very clear and accurate on what is going to be on the tests as long as you read and listen to his lectures in class it is super easy. He requires 2 papers that are 1 1/2 pages long quizzed on two chapters at a time then the tests are 2 chapters of reading plus lecture. He's really helpful though.

Comment:

Great class because you ALWAYS knew what to expect. 4 quizzes (drops lowest score= 3 quizzes) 4 tests (same as quizzes based on reading but an additional section is on lecture) the final is cumulative but straight forward, AND he gives extra credit. class is easy if you actually go to class and read even if it is skimmed through the assigned 2 chs.

I absolutely love Dr. Gold. He is a great guy and an outstanding teacher. As long as you keep up with the reading and pay attention to lectures the class isn't that hard, and he is very good about keeping the class informed about upcoming tests and extra credit opportunities. Absolutely love him.

Dr Gold is a great guy and great teacher. His class is really straightforward and he has a ton of extra credit (50 points in a 400 point class). Two REALLY easy 1pg papers, 4 quizzes (throws out lowest score), & 4 tests including final--and he tells you what to study. we watched a lot of short movies relevent to lectures and i loved the class-TAKE!

I could not sit through one of his lectures without falling asleep. He was unbearably boring. His tests were surprisingly difficult, especially if you didn't study. The book he chose was very elementary. Don't try to wing them. I would not recommend taking a class from this professor if you like psychology - he makes it boring.

lectures are pretty boring but the info will help you a lot on the tests, so take good notes. READ THE BOOK and do all the practice tests and study guides. the tests are taken almost completely from the practice tests and study guides.

It was a pretty easy course. his class is straight forward with no punches. The questions in the back of the book are basically the test itself. Don't procrastinate on your reading, if you do you wont do well. Its not hard. He is pretty dry but he'll grown on you. he also gives an outline for the lecture. easy as pie(: If you want to pass you will!

This class was a waste of my life. His tests are super hard and his lectures are incredibly boring. Worst teacher ever. Study guides are not helpful. Be prepared to teach yourself.

I hated going to this class. Gold didn't get excited about anything that he talked about which made the class not interesting what so ever. I ended up dropping the class because he was never able to clarify what I had questions on, even though I went in to see him! Now I'm going to retake it with Smith hopefully she's better.

I don't know what the other people are talking about! He is a great teacher and his tests were freakin' easy! Do your hw and reading and you will most definately get an A! It's so straight forward. Those people must just be lazy slackers! But, he is very monotone and it can be hard to sit through lectures at times.

This professor is horrible. His class is very boring and his tests are hard. I went in for help and he said well I cant do much. He speaks in monotone with a mic. He is the typical college professor you see in the movies. I would not recommend him. Take Smith!

I was excited to learn about psychology but his lectures didnt keep me interested. His tests were straight from the lectueres but thats a problem when his monotone voice is putting you to sleep. If this is your first exposure to psychology i would suggest you try someone else. I must admit that his jokes were so lame that they were funny.

Oh Dear Lord! I took him my first year at Cuesta and he is really a boring teacher. Just the fact that he used powerpoint was really tiring and when he speaks he is very monotone so it's very dull. I don't know about the other people's comments but you should take Smith instead..believe me

Yea the lecture is boring, just taking notes the whole time... but its an easy class to pass. He gives you EVERYTHING that is going to be one the test, like the actual questions, studying just takes a long time but its easy. I would take it if you dont mind the lectures. zzzz..
