Sooooooooo boring. He stood there talking in a terribly monotone voice for the entire hour and half every day. Tough grader, expects you to attend every class, way too much text use. Would not recommend.

Prof. Monroe real laid back professor. Very smart, gives you maybe 4 papers type including a research paper. He basically tells you he just wants to see your writing and class time is irrelevant. you will receive a good grade if you stay on topic with your papers

He is very intelligent, but so monotone it's hard to pay full attention. Last semester he cancelled a class every other week. Again, he's smart but if you prefer upbeat inspring professors don't take him.

Prof. Monroe is one of the most intelligent instructors with regard to knowing the material of literature and short stories. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to put much effort in to the class. He cancelled at least six classes during a hurricane season that naturally took an additional four classes away. He's laid back, but patience is required.

Boring class. He cancels 10 times a semester. Expects the students to learn but goes through books in 2 classes. His grading is ridiculous because it is based on only his opinion.He takes weeks to return work. He never responds to emails! He bases all of his books on inappropriate topics If you want a beneficial class. DO NOT TAKE HIM .

Prof. Monroe was a nice teacher, but class was so boring and dragged on forever. He never gave anything back on time, so you end up waiting for weeks to get your first paper back. He does not always explain what he is looking for in your paper, so that made getting a good grade tough. Not as easy as everyone on here claims he is.

I took him for a short novel class and it was pretty good. it moves fast though. He asked for 10 papers on 7 books three formal and 7 informal but due to his frequent absences we ended up with 2 formal and 4 informal but a good amount of reading. By the end it was about 170 pages per three classes. Also never returns papers so guess your grade.

One of my favorite Professors. I looked forward to attending his class. He is absent sometimes due to migraines. But it s a great Professor and can help with anything really. He is a smart man, and has some awesome stories he tells in class. I would recommend him as a teacher to anyone. I can't wait until I take English 1 or 2 with him So Take HIM!

Randy is a genuine guy who enjoys hearing himself talk. His lectures are interesting and he is open to many many essay topics. I wouldn't say he is too easy, he does grade rather closely and you can tell he enjoys what he does. Take him if you get the chance, I am actually upset that he switched with a different prof for engl 152 :(

I took him for english I and all we did was citations. The most uninteresting english class ever. He tells funny stories but you learn nothing from him. I did all the work and got good grades. But some how i didn't get an A i got a B+.

I took his class during the summer. it's a fairly easy class. he hates grading & it is obvious..he took a while to give papers back. he's a really nice guy & tells hysterical stories. i guarantee you'll like his class even if you don't like English (like me).makes the class interesting. no reason you cant get an A. i highly recommend his class. :)
