He was pretty much an egotistical jerk. His grading is completely random, its as if he draws a grade out of a hat and sticks it on your work. Do not recommend at all.

Great teacher, incredibly intelligent, easy to talk to, he gets to know every student so he can call on you to give your life experiences. Tests are all fill in but questions are directly from notes. Go to class take notes and read the book and you'll do fine. He has lots of real life examples that he tells in class and makes the class really good.

He's alright. He does have helpful real world examples he draws on frequently. He knows what he's talking about it seems like. I just have no interest for management, im a finance major, which makes the class very dull.

OBLSkills was an interesting class with this professor. I would highly suggest him. He likes class discussion and threaded discussions through WebCT. Exams are pretty straight forward, just apply what you learned in class. He does tend to draw on personal experiences frequently, but it's what he knows and they are applicable.

Mayer was a good teacher who explained concepts well, however I had trouble understanding EXACTLY what it was he wanted for assignments and he seemed to have his own way of grading. Final points didn't always seem to add up.

A brilliant professor, he has a commmand of the subject matter and breaks the stuff down even for dummies to understand. I think he is one of UA's strongest assets.
