Ray is a wonderful teacher. I was very nervous for this class, but after the first day I was so excited to come in each morning to see Ray. He is very personable and funny. Participation and attendance is crucial for this class. He will keep you interested and you'll actually enjoy learning about law. I recommend it for honors students, as well

Ray is awesome! He lectures almost the entirety of most classes but he is so interesting to listen to! You will take a lot of notes. There is a lot to memorize in his law class but I found it all interesting! Gave plenty of opportunities for extra credit! Really great teacher all around.

Rays your average joe. Entertainment law was something you could tell he was super into but the lecturers are long and somewhat boring. Its an easy pass as long as you do the work and do well not he quizzes.

He gives amazing notes. Crystal Clear, everything that he lectures on is on the test and we have just used it in a practical way. Great teacher i will definitely be taking the other class he offers. very willing to work with the student. straight forward guy, willing to offer extra credit. Very funny guy.

THIS is how you teach Intro to Management. After 2 attempts at taking the course with HORRIBLE "professors", I was reluctant but needed to take it as a core class. Ray was intimidating for all of 5 minutes. Genuine, class act of a guy - one of the kindest and easiest to work with professors I've ever had. A man's man.

ray doesn't like his reputation for spoon feeding you everything you need to know for the quizzes directly through his lectures. he's afraid that people have stopped reading the book, but as someone who does the reading prior, his lectures perfectly enhance my understanding of the subject matter. laid back and helpful -- ray's the man.

I really liked the Legal Aspects class with Ray. He is entertaining and you learn a lot. The class is mostly lecture/note-taking but he makes it interesting, I never felt like I was going to fall asleep in class. There are quizzes every week that are somewhat difficult (and sometimes impossible if you didn't do the homework) but they are curved.

Had him for legal aspect which I was not looking forward to; however taking the class with Ray with easy and def. do-able. We always left early, laid back, funny and understands that we're going to columbia and not northwestern. Take his class and you'll for sure pass his class...although do a little studying for the midterm and final.

There is always a threat of a quiz but exam questions come directly from them so its helpful. Curved grading and breaks the monotony with humerous anecadoes

Ray is one of the best teachers I have had at Columbia. He goes very slowly and makes sure everyone understands the material. He is also very understanding and makes the class enjoyable. All tests and quizzes are on a curve, so you can end up doing pretty well--as long as you try. I definitely reccommend him.

Ray is really down to earth and sets the class up so everything is very real world situations and easier to understand then most law classes. He grades on a curve on the (sometimes) weekly quiz, so they don't count against your grade. Lets you out early for the most part too. Made a boring class better. Its a fun easy class, take him.

Great teacher to take class with. Ray is easy going and tells you exactly what you need to learn to pass the course. He assigns weekly quizes but they do not count against you. Makes the subject fun and exciting. Enjoy.
