Sets you up for failure, but will never admit he does. Problems require extensive knowledge that you should know, and therefore provides absolutely zero resources on content review. Comment:

The lectures were more like a live reading of the textbook because his slides consisted of snippets from the text. No point in going to class because there is no attempt at engaging students in the material. One time he asked the students about what he can do better as a professor, then he manages to do the complete opposite of what we said.

Comment:

Professor Yee is a subpar lecturer. His slides have good information and are best used outside of class. His tests have averages below 60% and he does not curve. Professor Yee is very accessable outside of class but I cannot say he is helpful with the content. The best chance of passing is doing well on the design project, worth 25% of your grade.

Comment:

Yee is a very dry lecturer. The textbooks are certainly way more helpful than he is. The examples in the book are best for studying as well as hws. All powerpoints are posted online though he gives quizzes for attendance.

PROS: Funny & nice. CONS: Terrible instructor. Bad English, and cannot understand questions from the class. Stubborn man, and he likes to tell people they are wrong. Always makes simple things way too complicated. Final grade favors people he likes, so get on his good side. I hated the class, and thought I deserved a higher grade. Not down to earth

Good teacher, mat'l is a bit tedious. Get both textbooks, neither is really optional. Tests are hard, homework takes forever and if you make one mistake early on it will carry through all 3 pages of calcs. Go to office hours early and often, he's patient, listens, and VERY good at explaining concepts.

This is the second class I've had with this instructor and he is getting more and more stubborn. He is a good person though, and gives good lectures. I would recommend but beware, he is way too smart to be wrong! Ha Ha!

Hard class. But he knows how to teach it. The test are not too bad, but he kills you on the final. I was going in with a solid B, came out with a C+.

Pretty good professor, the class itself is very difficult, however Dr. Yee is fair, if only he curved the grades it would be much better.
