Easy to get a good grade for this speech class, just improve and do not do the things she does not like during your speech. Make sure you practice your speeches and know what you're talking about, you'll get a good grade in the class. Not much homework either, just research for your topics, but nothing too extraneous.

It makes me sad this is the only writing for comm practitioners teacher. She's not an easy teacher. There is an assignment each class, doesn't give credit for even attempting, Instead of helping students she makes this class harder than it needs to be. Be prepared.

She was actually a pretty good teacher. She isn't super strict on your speeches. As long as you practice your speech, and show improvement in speaking, then you'll can get a good grade. Most of of the grading is basically your speeches. Overall I recommend her!

This course is on learning grammar and English terms. Its stuff you learned in 1st-4th grade. What annoyed me is that Mills makes you feel dumb at times. Shes very hw heavy, but it helps you learn the material. Midterm and final are not easy, but not super hard. A VERY picky grader, especially with extra credit opportunities.

The subject is simple, its just grammar which weve all learned before right? But she makes it harder than it needs to be. Lots of work and studying but youll still do fine, hard to get an A though. Dont buy the textbooks!!! Go to class because there are in class assignments. She does give extra credit though which is nice.

I took this class thinking, " how hard can it be it's a 106?" well it proved to be very challenging. The subject matter on the surface doesn't sound all that impassable; however, the specifics and intricacies of the rules make the course more of a death sentence for your GPA. You can't avoid the class as a comm. major, so be prepared to read all two (soon to be three after the semester conversion) of the books and to complete all of the assignments --online and physical--, because in the end every point counts. All that being said it is not Professor Mills that make the class challenging, she does a solid job covering the material. The class itself is just unnecessarily hard.

Very straight forward in what she expects. You do 1 speech and 2 debates. Don't get to choose debate partner, but get to choose what you debate on from a list of topics. Professor Mills is very nice and willingly to look over your outline before you have to turn it in the day of your presentation. She gives great feedback after you speak. loved her

Challenging if you're afraid of public speaking, but very doable. She makes you feel comfortable and tries her best to prepare you for what you need to do. Use the resources she gives you when preparing for debates and make sure to not wait until the last minute to outline. Know what you are going to say before the day of your debate.

I actually got angry that I had to take this class. It was totally useless. If you don't know the material presented in class, you probably haven't taken English. I'm dumbfounded that this class exists. Mills was also gone a lot and unhelpful. Nothing good to say about this class at all.

If you're into writing and perfecting it, this is a very helpful class. It made me realize how average my grammar was. She's a really organized and helpful professor and her lectures are really thorough. She gives great feedback on your writing assignments. Not the most interesting class but it was very constructive

This professor is AWFUL. She's a communication teacher but can't communicate at all. She's not helpful at all, she's a hard grader and not very nice.
