Dr. Tu knows her stuff pay attention during the review of the lessons and you will Ace the exams. She does some rounding as well as dropping lowest tests grades. I was exampt from the cumulative final!

Comment:

The level of the class isn't necessarily hard but it would be much easier if she actually explained the problems and help you solve them. Instead, she kind of writes and mumbles on the board. She encourages questions but doesn't really explain clearly. She does allow bonus points and notes on tests, which is a plus :)

Comment:

One good thing about her class is the grading policy. There are 500 points available: 3 100 point exams and a 200 point final. She takes half the final and replaces your lowest exam grade with it. She's very helpful, but not very clear. She is VERY difficult to understand sometimes, but she does try to help students as much as possible.

She was horrible! I would advice all people not to take her unless you are really great at math & have a bad accent yourself. She was joking about laughing at the grades of people in her class. I would like to save you the time of taking this class then retaking it.

Dr Tu no longer gives extra credit. Not only that, her test are difficult and she loves fractions. Also, she is difficult to understand and has a very frustrating teaching method. She completely expects you to teach yourself. I made a B, but could have been an A in another class.

Dr. Tu gives A LOT of extra points. You have 14 quizzes in all, one every week, and she drop the lowest four. She like for you to ask questions and participate. The test are somewhat like the quizzes. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!!!!

Dr. Tu is a pretty easy-going professor. She expects you to know the material, and she encourages questions. She never gives a problem you haven't seen before, either on a quiz or survey sheet. Plus, she offers a lot of opportunity for bonus. She encourages students to go to her office for extra help, and will help you if you ask.

continuation form below, anytime you show your work on the board you get 1 extra-pts for each question. Imagine doing that for the whole semester, huge pts. She is really helpful. I would recommend her for this class. Take her. And do i say she's funny too!

Prof. Tu is a great teacher. Beside her accent that is sometimes hard to understand, she is wonderful. Her teaching style is great. She listen to student and do all she can to help, even if it takes coming to her office. She is really interested in student's success so she gives out 15extra-pts for perfect attendant, and any time you show your work

I really don't like her grading system. On the third test the first four were multiple choice. If you missed one that's ten points!! I made an eight-five on the last test because I missed on of the multiple choice questions and then she took five off for another one. Grading system sucks. Do not take this class.

She's funny! I wouldn't take another class with her. She wants you to ask questions but gets mad when you ask question. I know confusing.. If you don't understand she makes you stay after class or come to her office. Very hard to understand what she says but knows her stuff.

She passes the roll around every class and doesn't check it untill the end of the semester. you have 3 test and and a final. the review for the test is exactly like the test just a few #'s changed around. she is really nice but has strong accent. also makes sure you understand b4 she moves on. Wears the same outfit almost everyday but its ok lol

She is a great teacher. She explains things well and gives many examples. She makes sure everyone understands her. She also gives problems for the class to do and you get extra points for writing on the board. She is very respectful and kind. She is one of the most intelligent teachers I have had.

Nice teacher, tough class. She goes over material quickly. Textbook is a big help for looking over things that flew by in class. Homework not mandatory, but do it if you want to keep up. Open notes tests, but you still have to study and practice the problems. 3 extra points on your ending average for perfect attendance.
