THE ABSOLUTE WORST TEACHER I'VE EVER TAKEN FOR A MATH CLASS. He talks to the board, instead of engaging his students. His grading makes no sense. He's just old and burnt out. TIME TO RETIRE.

All he did was write in Greek letter and he made everything harder than it needed to be. I didn't pay attention at all in his class and I was just fine. He is dull, and he talks with his back to the board and his grading is a little weird.

I have had him for 6 different classes and loved him! He is extremely smart and knows what he is talking about. Just because he doesn't feed you answers and makes you think doesn't mean he is a bad professor. He is extremely nice and helpful if you ever ask him for extra help. Awesome professor!

Comment:

Calhoun is a difficult teacher teaching a class that is difficult for most people. Having said that, he is a cool guy, and will make you laugh while he talks to himself while doing a problem. The class is tough but hes MORE THAN WILLING to help you. Just ask.

He is old and boring. He has the ability to make the simplist subject seem like rocket science. He moves at 100000 mph while teaching and doesn't explain a thing. I am not exagerating. He is the worst professor I have ever had. Don't take him!!!

Absolutely dreadful. He's retiring soon, but not soon enough. I'll admit, he's a smart man and with a brilliant mind... unfortunately as a teacher, he really does not do a good job of TEACHING which is a shame. I'd say more, but most already know how bad he is.

Absolutely dreadful. As noted in another posting, he made things more difficult than they actually were and wanted you to write what he wanted. I urge you to take a science class at a community college instead of here; it's a waste of time and warrants unnecessary stress.

An interesting man. He's obscenely picky when grading, which causes you to write your answers so you have what he wants to see, not what you think is right. Still, his lectures were very informative and interesting.
