He had detailed lectures and was always thorough. A lot of what you need to know to pass the class is in the book. He talks about sex too much and gets off topic from lectures sometimes. If you have this professor, make sure youre ready to read the entire book! Tests are very tough. He says up front that many students dont pass his class.

IF YOU CAN'T STUDY TO SAVE YOUR LIFE THIS CLASS WILL BE DIFFICULT. However, if you take the time to study, show up to class, and memorize the vocab you should do pretty good. The class isn't hard, but his lectures are long but very informational. He loves to talk about sex, and drugs in his lectures, so it was pretty enjoyable. Good luck!

This class is way too difficult to be a G.E. Lectures are very long and boring, he uses the full time to the very last second. Also, his exams are almost impossible to pass... I spent days studying and still failed. Do not take this class!!

He's a great professor! The level he teaches would be like those teachers from AP classes. You need to read the chapters because some stuff is briefly mentioned during lecture if he doesn't have time. Although attendance isn't mandatory, it's helpful. Some things he says in class WILL be in the tests. MUST study and read!!!!!

MUST read the psych book to do well in exams, lots of things he does not cover. He puts questions on the exams that you would only know if you show up to class, really specific things he mentions. Nice guy, easy to talk to, humorous from time to time. Lectures are slow.

Really informative and great examples during lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory but it helps to attend. Textbook is required and you should read it. Grade is made up of two exams, one final, and one photo essay. You also have to participate in researches to earn credit to pass. Not an easy class but not hard either. It's like an AP class.

He knows his stuff, and makes lectures interesting. The worst part of the class is that the grade is made up of 2 exams, an essay, and a final. Around 30% of the class fails he tells us, and on our first exam, 50% got D's and F's. Just be ready to put in time, and show up to lectures, and you'll be fine.

Attendance isn't mandatory but his tests cover his lectures so if you want to do well on the test go to the lectures. Also, READ. If you don't read you will not pass the tests because about 70% of the material is on the book and he might not cover some chapters in class. No quizzes and just 1 paper

Ok I honestly dont know why everyone is giving him a bad rating, this class is super easy if you just show up, pay attention, and read the textbook. He makes his lectures interesting and there is only one other assignment other than the 3 tests you take, which is a photo essay about YOURSELF!! Lippa is awesome

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! I thought psychology would be a fun class but he made it so boring and difficult. His exams are way too hard. He assigns reading every week and his exams are based on half of his lectures and half on the book so you have to read the book!! I went to class everyday and read all the assigned chapters and still got a C!! This class is way too hard for a GE. I repeat, DO NOT take this class with Lippa.

The tests are way too hard for it being a GE class. He also likes to talk about sex A LOT and it is not as funny as you think it would be. It gets annoying, and makes you think that is all he can think about.

He is funny and interesting, but his class sucks. It is way too difficult for a GE intro psych course and if I would have known, I would have never taken his course. The test has questions from quotes he said in class and his tests are very long. I do not recommend this professor at all. Save your GPA and do it with someone else.

YOU WILL WORK YOUR BUTT OFF TO PASS THIS CLASS. Lippa was one of my favorite professors last semester, but boy do you have to work. Never, and I do mean never, will you get out of class before your time is up, not even a minute ahead. I definitely thought he was funny during his lectures, but if you don't read the book thoroughly, good luck.

THIS IS NOT A SKATE COURSE. If you have this professor be prepared to earn your grade. It is crucial that you go to class. His tests are half lecture. He literally ask questions like "what did Lippa say about...". It is also important that you read the book since half of the test questions are from it. Overall the class is not impossible to pass.

Classes are long and boring. Plays classical music during office hours to make students not want to come in. Tests are hard. Talks about sex in class which is nothing like the material on the tests. he's old and has almost too much knowledge. Not helpful. his class is the reason I changed my major. Not an easy GE at all. Ended with a B-

He gets easier and easier as more lectures come along. I love this teacher, especially when he talks about sex for most of his examples. I recommend taking him when the opportunity strikes. Tests are easy, essay is a bunch of pictures, and best online reviews.

Do not take him please. His lectures are super long and boring. His grading scale is lower than normal so a 70% is a B-. Definitely would not recommend if you are taking it for a GE. Lots and lots of reading. Only 3 tests and 1 paper and 5 hours of outside class experiments required. Again, don't take him.

Stay on your readying schedule or you're pretty much screwed. Tests are half reading questions and half lecture questions (According to Lippa..). Lectures can be very tedious and boring. Sometimes can go off base but calls "Detailed examples". Lecture slides online, reads off slides a lot.

Professor Lippa is honestly an awesome professor! Just like any other class in college you would have to put effort and time into the class. His exams are based on his lecture and textbook, so attendance is mandatory to pass! Don't get scare when he clearly warns 30% of the class will receive d's and f's. Actually read the textbook and you'l pass
