I am taking this class in the fall of 2018. Taking this professor might be difficult for you if you want to achieve an A. He is a tough grader because the tests generally determines your overall grade. They are three tests and one final exam. Those Three individual tests are EACH graded 20%, the final exam is 30%, and participation is 10%.

The worst professor I've encountered my whole life! His English is terrible, and it's impossible to understand a word he is saying. The surprise quizzes he gives have nothing to do with what we discussed in the class. The tests are hard to understand and definitely reflect his horrible writing skills. Terrible mistake! Don't take his class!

He does have a heavy accent, but if you don't skip class, take notes, and study for the tests with the study guides he gives you, you will definitely pass this class. I got an A last semester.

Great professor very knowledgeable and helpful. He does have a very very very heavy accent. Let me repeat that again he has a VERY HEAVY accent so if you take him seat near him cause it is kind of hard to understand him, specially at first. Take notes pay attention and come to class and you'll be fine.

Has an accent that you can't understand. He doesn't even test you on what he teaches. Be prepared to teach yourself. He is unorganized and grades things based off of how well he likes the class and what "mood" he is in. Dont take him!!! Find another better professor.

Key facts to take away from all the reviews: Heavy Accent, class is passable but you need to take your own notes and STUDY HARD, DO NOT BUY/RENT book literally used it ONCE and if you didn't bring it he didn't care. I took his micro and macro class and got a b in both. But with curves/studying/and staying up late. NOT A WALK IN THE PARK.

His class was so hard for me, I went to tutoring at least twice a week just to maintain a C average. Mind you I'm an A student. If you ask him for help you must present a specific question not a general understanding of a topic. He doesn't tutor or anything like that and just don't take it please it's hard.

took micro- Economics with him. I got my first c with him, dont get me wrong he is knowledgeable with economics but ohh boy does he have an accent a really bad one too.. Class is super hard, he does not give extra credit nor a study guide for test. If you registered with him you better drop that class or work your butt of and expect atleast a B

I regret taking this professor. His teaching methods (lack there of) will hurt most. No tools allowed on tests. There is no structure & he does not follow the syllabus. I have a 98 in Bus. Calculus, but barely passed, whats that tell you? He does not offer hw or credit to make up for poor test scores. Don't expect a review for the final or tips.

I took his class via Dual Enrollment program. It is pretty difficult, but who expects economics to be easy? Heavy accent, but I can understand him clearly. All you do are lectures and a few tests. He curved all the tests for macro, but not micro. Had an optional take-home final. He's not strict. Very intelligent and knows what he's talking about.

Don't take him. It's EXTREMELY hard to understand him through his accent, and all he does is talk, and it makes you space out, because he's soo boring. I barely passed the class. Take someone else, save your GPA.

If you attend class every time you will be fine. one day of missing class can leave you behind. Mr. Jean is a good teacher and knows his stuff. You barely need the textbook because he gives notes and explains pretty much everything. He rarely gives homework. He has an accent and makes his class interesting with his humor.

Teacher was pretty good, thick accent but you get used to it in a few days. He knows what he is talking about. The test are hard but he curves them generously, he is not out to fail anyone only help them. He should outline the class better but it is VERY possible to get a good grade. Lazy kids who don't read course text do bad.

Please dont take him. I know economics is supposed to be difficult, but this man is insane. I got an awful grade and my friend (the valedictorian at my high school) got a C! Take another professor.

He explains as if the material was really easy, yet the tests are super hard and barely cover what he talked about. DO NOT TAKE HIM! No extra credit either to raise your grade, a couple essays for homework. Very thick accent, about half the class dropped in the first two weeks. Horrible teacher!
