Took him for both 305 and 428 this semester. Probably the nicest professor I've had. He makes you work hard for your grade but in the end, every assignment he gives is solvable with a little online research. 305 exams are straight from homework and 428 is the same deal. Pick a good group from the start and it'll be smooth sailing.

For one I can't understand a word this guy is saying. His lectures are dry, confusing, and very rushed. Sometimes during class he will just leave randomly while the students are sitting confused about the subject. This is the only class in my four years at CSUSM that I have struggled with. I do not recommend unless you are forced to take this class

There are homework assignments, make sure you ask for help in class if you don't understand. Homework assignments and tests are similar so make sure you understand the material. I could have gotten a better grade but I didn't turn in one of the assignments (60pts) and scored low on the first test . Quizzes are from the textbook readings.

Liked the class. 10 quizzes, all very easy. 3 assignments (very similar to class problems) and final exam (worth 30% of your grade) if you study class problems and assignments, you will get an A. Highly recommend winter intersession class!

I went into the class not knowing what to expect, but the class is pretty much a steroid version of bus 304. He explains the topic really fast and he always seems in a rush, but will make time for you if you ask for help. 2 tests, 2 hw assignments, quizzes. Grading set up so if you aren't a good test taker you can still do good! Recommended! :)

Quizzes are easy! Straight from the book. Powerpoint lectures are helpful to do assignments. Make sure you know how to do class problems and homework assignments because final exam is based of on the class problems and assignments. Final exam 95% similar to class problems and assignments! Paper is easy. Summer school session.

I liked Dr. Aboolian a lot. Very helpful, very clear on what to do to succeed in class. His Power Point slides are really helpful and he posts them online, as well as the homework solutions. Some subject material is tricky, but there are no surprises on the exam. He's a nice guy who is more than willing to meet students half way.

Winter intersession course. One ten page paper. Two assignments. Ten easy quizzes. Cheat sheet for final exam. Final exam took me 30 minutes to complete, questions were very similar to assignment problems. Quiz answers are easy to find. Got out early every class.

He is a good instructor. You have to understand his culture to know he isn't mean. He may come off hard but pay attention in class and ask questions. His tests are open notes and the questions are similar to his homework problems. Trust me you will learn from him even if you think you aren't learning!!!

Helpful but can get frustrated. Book is used for quizzes and presentation but quiz answers can be found online so book isn't very useful. Presentation is just on single chapter from book that you pick. Grade: 2 tests, 8 quizzes, presentation, and 2 (long) assignments. Normal professor: won't jipp you, but won't give sympathy points either. Good guy

Prof. Aboolian is very helful. He makes sure his students understand the lecture before moving on to the next concept. He goes out of his way to help those that have trouble understanding the subject. I took this class in the Summer 2008. Buy the used book for the 8 quizzes on WebCT; the quizzes are open book. Don't buy the 9th Ed: Very expensive.

He is a realtively young professor, arab speaking, not very down to earth, dislikes questions, rarely smiles, leaves class quickly. Even if you do well on written and oral assignments, most of the class grade is subjective (participation). If you aren't good class pet, AVOID THIS PROFESSOR. If he doesn't like you, then you not earn a good grade!
