Comment:

I took her online Span101 class, it has a LOT of online homework, most of it is easy but takes a lot of time. There's also tests, weekly presentations, oral and written. Easy A if you work hard to learn the material and submit everything on time. She was easy to contact as well, would definitely take her again for spanish.

She has a clear agenda on when things are due. You will need to be motivated if you take her online class and not fall behind. 2 big exams, 2 five-min skype calls, and a group project take up the points. She does have a makeup section that you can cancel out any of your lower grades. Textbook mandatory as well as online code.

Apart from the fact that she doesn't know Spanish well and makes numerous mistakes she is not so bad. The words she teaches you is more like Spanglish and I wonder if she ever got any formal training on the language. If you are native speaker do not take her class because she will make the same mistakes as you do. She is just not qualified to teach

This was a great class! I had so much fun and she makes everything easy to understand. She is the best teacher for Spanish. Whoever is complaining about the class did not take it with her. She makes a study guide for the tests and does a review st the end. I highly recommend it and Im going to take her class for 102. The best!

Awful in both personality & teaching skills. She starts off nice at the beginning then transforms into an eldritch horror towards the end. If you don't volunteer, she makes passive aggressive comments & starts to snap like some rabid mad dog then wonders why no one wants to raise their hand. I'd rather gargle glass than have to take her again :0)

This was my favorite Spanish class. She is a really good teacher and you play a lot of games in her class so I actually talked to people in her class. Highly recommend!

This was a great class!!! She is really clear and makes things easy to understand. I learned Spanish at home but never knew all the rules and she explains everything. I wish she was teaching 102! I would take all 3 semesters with her

Her Spanish is awful! I knew Spanish before and she really doesn't know what she is trying to teach. She translates directly from English and the result is a mess in Spanish! You will learn everything wrong

I absolutely loved this teacher! She was very helpful when I had questions and was super nice. There can be a lot of assignments, but as long as you do the work you should be fine. I am not sure why the previous comments wrote that her Spanish was awful. Her Spanish is great and she knows what she is doing. Wonderful professor!

AWFUL!!! I took her online class and dropped it. Her texts are ridiculously hard and expects you to know things that were not covered in the lesson. You only get one shot at the quiz and cannot go back and change answers. This was Spanish 101 and she basically expects you to be fluent by the first week. DO NOT TAKE HER!!

Avoid her at all costs!!! she has no clue what she is doing and her Spanish is horrible!!! I am a Spanish speaker and I can tell you all the basic Spanish she teaches is all wrong!! she can be quite mean too if you correct her.

Regained my love for the Spanish language because of Professor Sheahan. Fun class with lots of activities. I took the fast track hybrid class and it was a bit intense but very doable. A lot of online homework, but easy do. Caring and kind professor who wants you to succeed.

Really really really BAD. Do not take her! My friends and I will never make this mistake again. Worst teacher I've had by far. I should have dropped in the beginning. Does not explain well, snobby, its her way or the highway. Save yourselves!!!

Very understanding, caring, sociable. Great notes and explains things very well. Not strict about getting the paper homework done. Very lenient. Fun class activities including games. Fun teacher. Very open about her life. Keeps the class on pace. Almost all the homework is online. Often lets class go home early.

Comment:

Great teacher and makes learning Spanish super fun. I took the online hybrid class due to a busy schedule. Expect to participate and give oral presentations in class. Don't skip this class and do your homework and it is a fairly easy class. There is a quiz every week (which alternate between group/individual quizzes), a midterm and final.
