Ol Mr. Strands, you'll see what I mean when u see the guy. I cant think of a word other than "weird" to describe him. As far as his class goes, barley used the book, all his lecture consists of is reading of the power point one studdered word at a time. Just a weird, weird guy!

Mr. Horak is a very good professor...i am saddened to see such hateful remarks about the man...personally, i found him to keep his test material in coordination with the material that he taught, and his knowledge of history was PHENOMENAL! ask him anything and he can give you a date...overall, I thought that he was an excellent professor!!!

This is the WORST teacher I have ever seen in my life. His tests are impossible matching and memorization. He just reads off a powerpoint in monotone and teaches NOTHING He cant even answer a question! When i signed up for classes my counseler DID NOT WANT TO PUT ME IN HIS CLASS. She said he is our worst history teacher. For a counsler to say that

No offense to this guy...well actually yeah plenty of offense. He is by far the worst teacher I've ever had. He talked in incomprehensible circles whenever asked a question...as if he had no idea what was going on. His tests were impassible. He reads directly from a PowerPoint presentation that he lifted word for word out of the book. There's hardly any reason to take notes because he puts the presentations on Blackboard. He gives quizzes at the end of each class that are really easy if you picked up a few names during the boring lecture.

Oh my God!! This guy is the most mind-numbingly boring instructor ever! A quiz at the beginning of class, one at the end, and extreme boredom in between...and I like History! He teaches off a PowerPoint - actually no teaching is involved. He reads the PP slides verbatim. Easy grade if you can handle the monotony.

Ok, I like history and was looking forward to this class. Horak ruined history for me. The give-me point quizes every day are hard. Very boring (Read form PP slides that are lifted directly out of the book. If you can, don't take Horak. He says the phrase "If you will" 200 times per class (I counted it). Worst teacher I have had.

Very, Very nice man. Yeah, he can be a little dry and maybe a bit repetitive. But the guy can call out dates like nothing, for everything! Thankfully, he's not to big on dates as far as tests go. Yeah some stuff you wouldn't think should be important enough for a test, but if you study you shouldn't have a problem.

I wish I would have read this site before signing up for this class. This class LITERALLY took more effort than a sit down class. Yes, classes should be challenging, but not an unbeatable force. "Tests followed outlines" Um, yeah... if you say so. SAVE YOURSELF!

BORING! This teacher is a smart man but cannot teach what he knows, he goes completlety off subject when you ask him a question, and his tests are crazy hard! It is nothing you would ever think to study for and there's no study guide! Overall i love history and this class is the worst class i have EVER been in! Bottom line: HORRIBLE TEACHER

He was a little dry in his lectures. But he is extremely inteligent and will help you learn. His tests and finals have questions you wouldn't think to study for. Learn what he expects you to know and you will do fine.

VERY VERY BORING!!!!!! He was the MOST boring teacher I have ever had. I think he would be fine if he stops using PowerPoint presentations. Overall, I think we learned a lot of interesting information, but it was way to boring. I got an “A” though.

Nice man, but extremely weird! Counts reading from powerpoint as his lecture...he speaks in MONOTONE which drove us nuts...ask him a simple question and he'll go off on a speel for 15 minutes before answering...he made the class boring when I find it interesting otherwise.."pringle can"!
