Dr. Summy is a great teacher! Orderly, straight to the point,extremely helpful,not a picky grader,very calm,not rude, and will answer questions. Attendance not mandatory, but helpful for notes.There are about: 5 papers to write and 1 final poster to create based on your research. Highly recommend him! Thanks to the Lord, I currently have an A! :)

He is a very cool teacher and is easy to understand. Class can be boring at times, but it's so easy to get. Is lenient in attendance and sometimes lets out students early and sometimes cancels class. Gives reviews for exams. You can't get a C unless you don't study.

This teacher is really cool. He goes sloww to make you understand the lessons and he explains everything in great detail. If you dont understand something he will explain it until you get it. Biology will not get any easier than SUMMY! I recommend him

I really liked this teacher! I liked his clarity on the lessons along with the examples. The study guides for each exam were helpful and clear. The exams were straight foward, clear and easy, if you study! Good teacher!

Don't need the book. He lectures off of his powerpoints, use his study guides for an easy A on his tests. He is not very computer literate so he probably won't answer your emails soon or at all so just speak to him after class. I didn't like biology and I got an A and really enjoyed learning. Take Summy!

just read his notes. study the lectures and you'll be fine. he's funny at times when he trys to combine biology w/ his jokes. he's a good teacher. not hard at all.he drops your losest test grade. =D

Study his notes on Blackboard and you'll be fine. Biology is not the easiest of subjects and so don't expect to just walk into random days and recieve an A for effort. Yeah right. Study hard, go to class and you'll be fine. Otherwise don't even bother and drop out of college. It won't get any easier than this.

this guy is the coolest teacher on CAMPUS and he dont even know it. Super cool class lectures are whats on test. Gives out study guide which is pretty much the test. STRONGLY RECOMMEND!

Very Easy professor, just study the webct notes and will do fine. He drops lowest grades and kinda replaces the 2nd lowest grade with a better grade. A friend had a 84 average with the lecture and lab averaged out, and Summy still gave him an A!!! , but dont just count on this. Highly recommended!!

His class was a lil harder than what i expected ... Combined with the lab I came out with a C in this class. He is very boring but it does balance out because his tests arent really too too hard ... but u still have to study to receive a good grade. I tried and still got a C but I am just glad to get biology out of my life :D

Professor Summy is the sweetest (and good looking) man ever! His lectures bored me to death, but he is the easiest Biology professor from what I hear. His tests are fair as long as you review and study your power point notes. He wants all of his students to pass, therefore he drops your lowest test grade and gives you a chance to make up an exam.

Professor Summy is the nicest person ever! His lectures are really boring, but the class is super easy. All you really have to do is attend lecture every so often, print out the notes on WEB CT, don't buy the book, and if your going to be absent have someone sign in for you. If you find yourself struggling in his course, he will help you!

Easiest A you will get in pan am. His exams are like the power points and he drops the lowest grade. He checks attendance everyday or every other day. But didn't have a problem with this class. He has a monotone voice so you'll probably sleep at some time during his lectures. But a good teacher. You dont need to buy the book.

One of the easiest classes I took at PANAM. Easy A. I fell asleep during the exam, and finished the exam in the last 30 minutes of class- still got an A. In our class we took like 5 tests. He only counted the highest 2 grades and replaced the 3rd test grade with another score. I didnt understand the grading, but it only helped the students not hurt

Dr. Summy is by far one of my favorite proffesors. What a lot of students don't realize is that he cares for the students. And he does his job so that we can pass his class. Just study your powerpoints, and you'll be in good shape. Be thankful for proffesors like Dr. Summy he has people skills. Love him!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love this professor! He was really laid back. No texbook usage and tests are mostly from the powerpoint notes. I made a D in my lab because my lab attendant sucked. I spoke to him about it and he couldn't believe it b/c I had an A average in his class, so I made a B in the class afterall. You should definately take this class with him.
