Comment:

Roger is a good professor, he tends to be out of touch when it comes to how technology and media is ran nowadays. But you will do just fine if you show up and do what you need to do, he likes students who attend and put in the effort. He tends to trail off subject and repeat his lectures and stories, but just go with it and enjoy the ride.

Comment:

His lectures can be interesting but tend to drift off topic. The tests are solely based off of his lectures. If he writes on the board, it will be on the test. For most of the class, you will feel like "why are we learning this?" As long as you show that you're paying attention and show up to most of the classes and radio shifts, you will be fine.

Easily the worst professor I've ever had. If you ever asked for help, you were almost always met with "figure it out yourself!". Consistently showed up late for his own classes. Only has job because he owns all the radio stations in town. Textbook definition of "the bitter divorcee". But you need his classes to graduate, and he knows it. Hate him.

Comment:

He is always crabby and assumes his class comes before anything else in your life. You are required to put in 20 hours of filming experience which includes 2 sporting events as part of your credit. This is simple yet time consuming. If he needs people for a specific day he will assign students to it. Cant make it? well, guess you're losing points.

The class requires a 3 hour radio shift 1 time a week. that isnt very bad but he is very unhelpful and is very lazy in his own work. you may be able to get a good grade because of this but you sure wont learn much. hes a very crabby old man that is stuck in his ways. if you can deal with that you'll be alright. very uninterested in students

Was knowledgeably about transmitters and radio towers, but not so much about modern recording or the physics of sound. Not a bad business man by any means, and also is interested in students that ask intriguing questions. Engage him in unexpected ways and you will be more likely to get more out of him.

ok, he's alright. if you want easy mass comm credits he's the guy to take. as for slipping through..yes..i agree...how is he teaching? if you have questions he's not the one to answer them...ask someone that actually knows the answer instead of getting a bs answer.

He knows his stuff, but you have to keep him from repeating the same stories over and over again. Lectures are usually pretty boring, but he gives easy quizes for participation points (What's my name, what class is this, what time does it meet). You can get an A for showing up.
