Ron is an AMAZING prof and deserves another excellence award nomination. He gives great feedback, replies to emails and returns assignments within 24 hours. Unlike other OL profs in TRU that meet the bare minimum requirements of turnaround time, Ron truly cares and understands the importance of fast turnaround when it comes to OL courses.

I have taken a lot of courses at TRU and have to say that Ron is the best professor I have learned from. Not because I did well in the course, but because he gave detailed feedback, set expectations, was more than willing to invest the time to teach you concepts. If I could take all my courses with him, I would. Highly recommend.

There is a lot of reading (workbooks not textbooks) as well as six assignments and a final examination. Professor Lakes is very supportive and provides great feedback. He is a fair marker and responds incredibly quickly. I would highly recommend him as an instructor.

I found this class very easy and intuitive. Being on-line I never met the instructor personally, but he was very accessible and marked assignments extremely quickly. If I had studies more for the final, I have no doubt I could have gotten an easy A in this course.

I completed MNGT 1211 in Mid Feb 2017 and I have thoroughly enjoyed the course. If you put in the hard work like any other course and follow the course requirements then you should be fine (Good grade). This is my first rating for a professor period. Thompson Rivers should do everything to keep this man because teaching is an art and he excels.

Best instructor TRU-OL has. Period. There needs to be a class called "How to be a good online instructor 101" and he needs to teach that to other TRU-OL instructors. If you do the work, you will get a good mark otherwise he will let you know clearly, one by one the areas that need improvement and his expectations. Very Prompt marker as well.

Ron is one of the best instructors I have ever had. He is a positive person. If he suspects you are having difficult time, he will go out of his way and will provide support in any way he can. But, you need to study and show him that. If you see him teaching a class, go ahead and register without even thinking.
