Comment:
He is terrible at communicating with you. If you try emailing or calling him, dont expect to get a response back from him unless you continuously email or call him. Even then he wont respond. His grading is mind boggling to say the least. His lectures arent very useful for the exam and by the way, your two exam grades is your final grade.

This professor is very dull, and does the bare minimum to get students ready for tests. If you wanna teach the subject to yourself this class is for you. Otherwise avoid!!

He does a good job of presenting the subject matter in a clear concise fashion. Tests are based on content in lectures so, as long as you pay attention, the class is not hard.

Tests weren't anything like the weekly discussion questions (which aren't graded by the way.) I was really surprised when I got that first take-home test and it was so different from our reading, lectures, and discussions. Tests are written to trick you.

This class is as close to independent study as you can get. Dont count on gaining any actual knowledge. Aside from a few announcement posts, there is no interaction with the professor. Im leaving with an A but no real information.

Comment:
Heavy reading assignments, lectures are dry and monotone. Multiple choice exams which seem to be based 80% on the boring reading material. His book that he uses must be a different edition than what is currently being sold because the chapters and pages he assigns don't match the book. Be prepared for an attitude if you need any clarification.

Comment:
I think this was the most uninteresting course I've ever had. Sad to say but I learned almost nothing in the subject and got an 'A'. The instructor was nice but extremely monotoned and it was difficult to stay focused. It was an easy grade and that was it.

Had Ron for both ECO 201 & 202. I actually developed an interest in economics from him! Clear lectures, but not much interaction on a personal level.

He wasn't really any help to me at all. During the semester I emailed him numerous times and he never responded back. He is very monotone and doesn't make the class interesting. This class was basically like an independent study. I would not recommend taking a class from him.

I had zero interest but he made it interesting--what more can you ask? Plus, a nice guy with no god complex (I asked him, "how do you prefer to be addressed-"doctor,' professor,...?" and he said, "I don't care-- well, maybe not 'A**hole.' Aaah, call me Ron.").

How can this class be so fascinating and so boring at the same time? The subject matter was very interesting, but I needed 2 coffees for class, or id fall asleep. He's about as perky as Ben Stein (sorry Prof Norton, you know its true). I highly recommend the class, he's very clear and knowledgable.
