I love Dr. Bell. I had her for Gen. chem 2 lab. She's super nice (as long as you do your work and put in the effort) and is super helpful. Such a sweet lady!

Dr. Bell is such a nice person. Chemistry is just a hard class but she tries her best to make it bearable. I also took her for 1151 and she is a stickler for sig figs but shes a good instructor to have. If you're having problems just talk to her =))

Dr. Bell is a really good teacher. Im taking her for CHEM 1151. If you have questions, shes happy to answer. Im able to get a grade on a lab report and she will sit there and go through every aspect of the report to tell me what I did good and how I could improve.Overall, Dr. Bell puts in as much effort as you do with your!

Extremely nice and helpful professor. She grades lab reports a little too critically, especially on significant figures, but she will help you out a lot if you ask for it. I definitely recommend taking Chemistry lab with her. You will learn way more taking it with an actual professor than a TA or grad student.

She wa always helpful. Her attendence is not mandatory but she gives out quizzes that will help your grade average and hel with learning the course material. She will also give extra credit problems and study sessions for her exams. I reccomend to go to anything that she offers and make sure she knows your face.

I really liked her! It was my second time in 1120 and I was able to pass the class with normal effort. Before I couldn't pass with Collins studying an hour a day and going to class. Unfortunately 1130 was impossible regardless and I changed my major.

Excellent professor, even with the slight language barrior. She explains things thoroughly and is very proud of the students that put forth the effort. If you don't work at it, you get what you put into it!! She is a wonderful asset to the chemistry department at ECU.

She really knows her stuff. If you need extra help she is more than happy to sit down with you during her office hours to help you. If you can't come during her office hours, she'll set up a time that she can help you. Has an accent, but not a problem. Reccommended over Collins and Gerow.

I would recommend taking her. At first, her accent is a little hard to understand but you get used to it, the test is straight from the study guide and its not a hard test at all. Has inclass assignments and homework most days so don't skip class. If you study and pay attention you should get atleast a B.

Dr. Alvarez was a good lab teacher for 1161. Her TA sucked who taught most of the classroom part. She was very helpful if you had questions and would explain things so you could understand. I'd recommend taking her for 1161

Awesome teacher! Pay attention in class, do the homework and practice quizes. Ask her if you need help or don't understand something. Class was full of alot of young, whiney children who didn't want to take resonsibility for their actions. You have to study but Dr. Alvarez is willing to go the distance to make sure you learn.
