Comment:

Prof. kennedy doesn't seem to care if you pass or fail, so you're on your own with a lot of the material. He responds with "I don't know" or "I don't care" to many student's concerns and frequently runs out of or doesn't help to find the required materials for lab. The lecture and powerpoints are extremely dull.

Prof. Kennedy is a great professor and clearly wants you to learn the material. The material is very difficult to learn, but he lets you take your first 3 exams online open book/ open note. The last 3 exams are all open book/ open note but you need to take them in person. He also gives a good amount of extra credit in the course. Labs are very hard

Roy Kennedy is the definition of a model professor. He Intigrates real world issues into class. I would suggest him over other professors, however he needs more resources to be more effective as an educator.

Death by powerpoint, impossible to stay awake when he talks. Very rude and condescending makes you feel stupid for asking questions. 10/10 do not recommend

Go to class, and actively take notes and you'll do just fine. His lectures are great and he's very smart. He will take time to explain things to you and is always available for office hours. There's A LOT of homework! Don't fall behind! -IF- you follow my advice an 'A' will surely be in your future. Handwriting the labs is the worst part.

Prof. Kennedy is super smart, knows everything there is to know about his subject. There's a lot of busywork and lecture can be boring, but hey, it's Chemistry. What can you expect. If you do all the work and turn it in on time, you can expect a B at least.

Zzzzzzzz dry long drawn out lectures. So boring and long power points people in the hallway fall asleep walking by just from the sound of his voice... Sits down and never gets up you come to him for help and you're dumb because you failed to understand the beauty of his lectures and explanations.

horrible horrible horrible!!! doesn't help much, he just sits on Facebook during lab while students are dealing with tough chemicals sometimes and when you ask him a question he makes you feel very very stupid, and he is verrrrrry sarcastic!.NEVER AGAIN. He gives so much work its draining !!!!

I love professor Kennedy. Everything he explains is crystal clear and he makes you understand clearly. He is always willing to go back and explain during the lecture if you are lost. Exams are hard but everything is open book. If you have the will to learn he is the best professor. He made me to love chemistry!!

He made people in my class who asked questions feel and look stupid. I found his powerpoint lectures (every class) boring despite his lame jokes. I took the class later with another prof. and did much better. Now I understand chemistry and enjoy it.

awesome class. He's my favorite teacher at MassBay. I get out a tons of solid knowledge from this class. Prof. Roy moves class from basic to advance. Take him if you want to know Chemistry. He's very understanding and extremely helpful. He will answer all the question that you have. He also gives extra credit.I'm taking another Chem class w/ him

Great professor, I was nervous about him at first but he is very fair, class follows syllabus, no surprises. His lectures are optional but I found them very helpful, he put things in his own words and didn't just read from the power point. Labs can be a lot of work but are worth it. I just wish he was teaching chem 120!
