One of the best professors at UAH. I wish I couldve taken all my math classes with him. He really cares about students understanding the material. A lot of homework, but he does tons of examples in class which reflect whats gonna be on the exam. Hes amazing, thats all I can say! ��

Dr. Huang is amazing! His teaching is incredibly straightforward. Homework every class, the exams are like the homework, and the final is like the exams. If you do the HW and pay attention you can get 100+ on every test. Ignore the people who complain; a lot of teachers could learn from him.

Metric Spaces is a very tough class which is required for all graduate math students. Huang's lectures are confusing and he assigns an impossible amount of hw every class period! The textbook is very awful. Very long and difficult exams. He is very helpful during office hours though. He will call you into his office if you are doing poorly.

I loved this class. Dr. Huang is a great teacher. It's obvious that he loves mathematics and it really comes through in his teaching. I wish I had more math classes to take so I could take him again. I didn't find his accent to be difficult to understand.

Dr. Huang is a very good teacher, one of the best math profs at UAH. His examples are very clear and concise, and he genuinely cares that all students understand the material. I am taking MA 653 over other courses in the Fall, simply because I know he is teaching the course. His accent is thick at first, but you will adjust after a week or two.

VERY difficult to understand his speaking. That being said, he has good handwriting and provides good examples. The only hard part about the class is hw is optional and its tempting to not do it. You need to do the hw to understand the class and get an A. He gives lots of partial credit and doesnt try to trick you on tests. I would take him again.

Great teacher. The course is pretty easy and I can understood him easily. Just attend the class and do the homework, you will be fine. He is very helpful outside the class. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Huang is a very good professor. He has an "old-world", so to speak, viewpoint on grading and teaching, along with his tests being quite difficult, but he is very helpful, along with being fair. His lectures are quite understandable, at least to me, so no problems there. Do your HW seriously and you should be good.

Doesn't speak English very well, that was the major problem. I don't think he grades test fairly. The first test I had every answer correct and made a 77 because I didn't show enough work. You better write out 2 + 2 = 4 if you want full credit, no matter how trivial the calculation is. If you write just 4, then most points will be deducted.

Awesome teacher. If you do your homework, show up for class, and give an honest effort you will not have trouble. The first few classes are hard because you have to get used to his accent. I highly recommend this guy.

Barely speaks english. Gives a take home test that 1) the math tutors couldn't do, 2) the calc workshop instructors couldn't do, and 3) I certainly couldn't do. Said it took him 3 hours to figure out, and he's got the phD in math, not I. Retook calcC with

This guy is nice enough, but not that great of a teacher, he doesn't grade homework, which some of you might like but when 26% of your grade is quizes, adding homework grades really helps, he reminds me alot of the Physics teachers, all he does is derive, this was the first time I've every made a B

He gave us a take home exam, easy right? Wrong, there was a problem on the exam that he claimed took HIM about 2 hrs to complete, and he was the teacher! He doesn't speak English very well. If you want more of a challenge, take his class. Be prepared for a quiz every week.
