Comment:

Sam's classes mainly consists of stories and previous week's homework. He will call on students to give answers as he values participation. Sam will rarely lecture on material regarding upcoming homework so be prepared to read and learn from the book. Sam prides himself on being a Berkeley graduate and will treat the class like a Berkeley class.

Comment:

Prof. Hedgpeth values participation immensely, and as such, he will "pick on" people so that they would speak up in class. He makes sure that you understand the subject matter, and will repeatedly ask if a subject is clear. The subject matter demands that you do a lot of home work, because you need a lot of practice. He makes sure you learn.

Comment:

Sam is a great individual and an entreprenuer at heart. He is not a slow going college professor and has a corporate outlook in his teaching style. He worked out well for me because I am a working manager and his style works better for a mature learner like me. The subject is one of the toughest so please hold your judgements till chapter 4 to 6.

Comment:

Absolutely the most atrocious teacher I attended class with in all 36 years of my life. He told us to listen and “not take notes.” At two classes, viciously screamed at students. Has no respect for learning styles of students. I am summacumlaude. I dropped the class. Attend his class only if you wish to see how CEO’s in the late 90’s behaved.

Tough class, but well worth it. I took an easy ACCT 1A class and had to repeat because I wasn't prepared for 1B. If you have to continue in accounting definately take this guy. If you listen to him and do what he assigns there is NO way you won't grasp the concepts 100%. He calls on you in class which was hard for me, but made me work even harder.

Mr. Hedgpeth is an awesome teacher! You will learn a lot in that class as long as you do the assigned reading and homework. Always pay attention in class because he call on you and ask you questions. Tests are hard so study well. Homework and projects will take a good amount of hours to complete.

He is a Great, fun teacher. Randomly PICKS on people in class, loads (5+hours every weekend-no joke, 12 hour take home final-no joke. Take him if: you want to be a prof. acct., love a challange, have lots of time. Dont take if you have more than 1 other class, you enjoy weekends. Withdrew 5wks in

Horrible class! I dropped this class, simply because he makes the environment so awkward, randomly picking on students, yelling loudly, so as to "beat the concepts into our head". Way too much homework, and doesn't explain very clearly.

Do the homework get an A how easy can it get. Very good teacher with a lot of experience and makes class fun. Do need to be prepared as he asks students questions in class. I loved this class. Made a not so fun subject fun.
