You know that person in your life, whether it be a grandfather or neighbor, who seems to talk about nothing for hours upon hours, rambling about anything that can enter the labyrinth of their mind, and every time you leave them you think to yourself, "God, I worry about him". That's Samuel McQuade.

Comment:

Not the most PC professor, pretty inappropriate at times, considered reporting several things he's brought up in class. He's a good guy at heart, but not very good at lecturing. A lot of tangents and hard to take notes on important things for the class. He showed up 45 min+ late the first weeks. BUT, if you are patient enough, this is an easy A.

This is the first time Professor McQuade has taught undergrad in 10 years, so it was a bit of a rough time during this semester. All work is online so it's very easy to complete and pass the class with an A. Lecturing for 3 hours is way too much, considering he goes off topic 99% of the time.

Comment:

I took CRIM 110 as a perspective curse, and I honestly feel like it's the best course I ever took. The lectures, though they did go off topic quite a bit, were extremely educational and I feel like I learned more in class than the textbook could ever have taught me. Prof McQuade definitely knows what he's talking about and is really knowledgeable.

This class was a hour lecture once a week and at first I was not looking forward to it at all. But Sam made the class interesting and easy with his crazy stories he shares. Overall class work was very easy and he was very flexible because everything was online and you were able to take everything until you aced it!

Very good teacher, knows what he is talking about. Has some interesting and funny stories. His class is actually one I enjoy going to. A good amount of reading needs to be done, but its all fairly interesting. He gives open note tests. Get a different teacher if u are easily offended, but if u can take a joke youll really enjoy him as a teacher

Excellent professor. He knows what he is talking about. I must say that you should't take the course if you don't want to work hard but after all the work you have learned a lot. Great teacher! I wish I could have him in other classes. Unique teaching style.

exams are hard (NEED TO READ EACH QUESTIONS FIVE TIMES). Very tricky. A lot of reading. I did get an A but it took way lot of effort. He knows what he is talking about though.

To start, I did get an 'A' in the class. I would recommend avoiding this prof at least for this class. No real knowledge of comp crime. His tests are unfair and have nothing to do with how much of the material you know. You'll either like him or not.

I learned quite a bit. Tons of extra reading not covered on tests which were pretty difficult. He is very full of himself but it is understandable considering his background in policing. My biggest complaint is that i was late to my next class every time

If anyone trash talks Dr. McQuade it's probably because they are a horrible student. He demands only the best work, you will fail miserably if you are lazy. This man is THE source for computer crime studies in the USA.

Teacher is an Egomaniac who babbles endlessly about pointless things, doesnt cover proper material, gives extremely complicated tests and refuses feedback from students. On a last note, you will never get out of this class on time since he loves to talk.
